Miraculous: Tales of Ms. Ladybug and Tom Cat

Part 57: The One Ring

Everything's going right so far, Viperion thought. Now for phase 2 of the plan...

As Hugo was about to place the ring on his finger, he failed to notice the white portal opening beneath him. He fell through the portal along with Gabriel and the two fell into Bunyx's burrow.

Wasting no time, Viperion immediately ran to the rest of the Miraculous holders, still reeling from the fact that their enemies had just disappeared without a trace.

"Ladybug!" he called, running as fast as his Miraculous would take him. "Be prepared! He's coming back!"

Ladybug just looked at him. "The Lucky Charm!" he responded "Give it to me now! I know how to stop him with it!"

Ladybug looked confused. "But why do I need to...?"
"We don't have time to explain. Just hand it to me!"

"But what about the Miraculous Ladybugs? They need to fix everything!"

"If you do that, everything will be destroyed." he grabbed her by the shoulders. "Listen to me, Ladybug. I've just come back from Bunyx's burrow where we saw the future. If you don't give me your Lucky Charm then Hawk Moth gets both Miraculous and ends the world!"

Marinette quickly handed him the red roll of duct tape. "Just hurry," she said. "There's not a lot of time before I transform back and it disappears. And I need it back to fix everything."

"Right," he responded. "Second Chance!" he called out as he pulled back his snake bracelet.

He should be here in about three, two one...

The white portal opened where it had opened a moment before, only with the Hawk Moth's falling out the opposite side onto the ground. Viperion took the roll of duct tape and threw it at Hawk Moth's hand in an attempt to knock the ring out of it. He'd always considered himself decent at sports, but even so, he missed the mark. It was bound to happen. But luckily, he always got a, 

"Second Chance!" he called as he pushed the snake's head back and turned back time. Again the Hawk Moth's fell through the portal and again he missed. He went back in time again and the same results occurred. It went on like this for hours for him, eventually succeeding on attempt 31. The duct tape hit his fingers and the ring fell away as both of the villains landed on their stomachs. The ring flew from the villain's grasp and into the hands of an awaiting Cat Noir, who held it smugly.

Hugo quickly got up and in a daze tried to reach around for the ring. "Where is it?!" he growled "Where is it?!"

"What's the matter, Gollum?" he asked, a grin on his feline face as he held up the ring. "Missing your precious?"

Hugo was furious. "Why you little brat!" he then attempted to tackle him and get it before he vaulted away towards Ladybug. She quickly palmed it and swung around to make it seem like she was moving in the opposite direction. As Hawk Moth charged at Cat Noir, she redirected her course and went towards Thomas.

Gabriel looked up and was about to pursue but was caught in Carapace's Shelter before he could do anything. "You're not getting away that easily Hawk Moth!"

"Just keep them contained for now!" Ladybug said. "And keep the other Hawk Moth busy! I'll be back in a minute to fix everything!" She then picked up her yo-yo and swung away.

Just hold on Thomas, she thought. Everything is gonna be ok.
