Miraculous: Tales of Ms. Ladybug and Tom Cat

Part 61- Reunited

Thomas was terrified by the scene before him. And for good reason too.

He'd loved and admired superheroes all his life, ever since he'd been saved from a car wreck by Vesperia when he was 5. He'd collected over 4,000 comic books featuring nearly every superhero and caped crusader on the planet; from older heroes like Majestia to newer ones like Lady Dragon. And of course, he had read nearly every comic book, novel, screenplay, fan-fiction, and musical (don't ask) about Ladybug and Cat Noir. Growing up around them, and hearing stories and adventures of all they'd accomplished, it was a fair assessment to say that they were some of the most powerful heroes in the world. Even as teenagers they'd taken on apocalyptic level villains and won. So to see his Mom, his ultra-powerful superheroine Mom, on Hawk Moth's side with Akuma powers, Thomas knew it would be an impossible fight.

"Milady?" Cat Noir asked, his expression horrified at the sight of his one true love under the control of Hawk Moth. "No, this can't be." he looked over at Hawk Moth, his expression quickly changed from horror to rage. "You. This is your fault. And you'll pay for this!" He charged at him with his staff but was quickly intervened by Anti-Bug.

"I don't think so, Kitty," she said.

"Milady, I don't want to fight you!"

"Then just let me beat you!" she said, swinging her yo-yo at his head.

Tom Cat quickly moved to Micromouse and handed her the Ladybug earrings.

"Unify with these and turn into Bug Mouse," he whispered. 

Emilie took the earrings. "Right"

As she put them in her ears, Tikki popped out.

"Emilie? Thank goodness!" she exclaimed. She quickly hugged her owner but was interrupted by her growling stomach.

"Here you are Tikki," Emilie said, pulling a cookie out from her pocket.  She then looked over at her brother, "Do you have a plan?

"I think so, but it's gonna be hard. We'll need to send away the other holders for it to work."

"What why?"

"Trust me," he said.

Tikki finished with her Cookie and Emilie quickly unified the two Miraculous. Her gray and pink costume gained black spots and red highlights as a magical light washed over it.

"Nice new costume," Thomas said in appreciation.

She then looked over his new outfit. "Not as nice as yours! What's up with your costume?"

Thomas was a little bashful. "Well, I feel like this better represents me, ya know?" he said. "I'm not Chat Noir after all. I'm Tom Cat."

Emilie continued. "And What was that thing you did earlier? When you took the Ladybug earrings?"

Tom Cat's face lit up. "Now that's something cool. I found out that my suit can go into some kind of stealth mode whenever I pull the hood up. Watch."

He pulled up his hood and his costume suddenly started to reflect their surroundings, nearly turning him transparent. It wasn't foolproof, however, as Emilie could still see his body's outline when he moved, similar to a mirage.

Thomas removed his hood and Emilie could see him again.

"It's pretty cool right?" He said, face beaming with excitement. He then put his hood back up. "Invisible," he pulled it back down, "visible!" He continued to don his hood on and off. "Invisible, visible! Invisible, visible! Invisible,"

Emilie pulled his hood off for him. "I get it," she said, frustrated. "Now you said we have to get the holders away? How are we gonna do that?"

"It won't be easy." Tom Cat said. "They're already preparing to fight Anti-Bug and Hawk Moth, so what do we have that could distract them?"

Emilie was stumped, but luckily fate decided to help them out in what had to be the most roundabout and unhelpful way. Across the field, Carapace's shield over Hawk Moth prime fell and he walked free. After seeing this, the siblings looked at each other and nodded.

Tom Cat stood upon a rock and spoke to all of the holders present. "You guys go take care of him! Bugmouse and I have Anti-Bug."

Rena Rouge and a few others began to protest. "What?" Rena Rouge said. "We can't leave you to take care of them by yourself!"

"Listen!" Micromouse said. "There's no time! Carapace is in trouble and he needs your help. So trust us. We've got this!"

Rena nodded. "Ok then. Let's go take care of Hawk Moth!"

They then went off, echoing a mighty roar as they ran to do battle with Hawk Moth prime.

"Well, that certainly worked." Tom Cat responded, picking up his staff and drawing it into a fighting stance. 

Emilie overlooked the scene. "Alright, Tom Cat. What's the plan?"

"It might seem crazy, and extremely risky, but it just might work. So here's the plan."
