"I just want more time with you! I rarely see you!" you pleaded as your boyfriend was getting ready to go to work again on what was supposed to be his day off

"It's always the same conversation Y/N! I can't not go to work!"

"You can if it's your day off! But you always answer the phone to them and then you leave in the morning and don't come back till like three in the morning! And you don't even get to sleep on the same bed with me! You sleep on the couch instead!" you screamed

"Because I don't want to wake you up when I come back home, I'm trying to be considerate of you!"

"Well I don't feel that way! I just feel like I'm being ignored or just pushed to the side and forgotten about"

"I really don't have time for this" sighed Grayson as he went to grab the keys to his vehicle

"You don't have time for what? Us? Our relationship? When was the last time you hugged me Gray or kissed me, or even told me you loved me?" you said as the tears you had been holding back, finally streamed down your face

"Can we talk about this when I get back home?" He said as he just ignored what you had said and left through the door, leaving you alone

Your life had been hard growing up, your parents were extremely mean to you and your older brother and didn't care if you guys went to school or starved

At sixteen, your brother dropped out of school and got a stable and good-paying job, having him take you and him to an apartment where he paid for everything

Your brother was your best friend, he always took care of you and helped you get the education he didn't

It was thanks to him that you met Grayson, the person you had fallen in love with at first sight

Everything with Grayson had been great, you guys had been together for five years now, but recently Grayson had been getting more and more busy with work, putting you aside and almost not seeing him for a few days since he was constantly at work and would only come back to sleep and leave early in the morning

"I've had enough of this" you whispered to yourself as you quickly walked to the room you and Grayson shared and started packing your belongings, not wanting to leave a trace that you were ever in that place

At around seven in the morning of the next day, Grayson was driving back home, tired from his boss pestering him about some videos he had edited

He walked through the door but sensed something was off at home

He called out your name but you didn't answer, he assumed you were asleep until he saw a letter that was addressed to him in your hand writing

Grayson,

I'm sorry but I can't take this anymore, today was the last straw. I've been feeling so insecure lately about us. I've been constantly feeling that you'll end our five year relationship. We hardly see each other, Grayson, we rarely sleep on the same bed or kiss...I haven't heard an 'I love you' from you in months and I'm starting to feel broken...I'm sorry, but I couldn't wait for you to get home...not this time.

Grayson finished reading the letter and slammed it on the counter as he quickly looked for you throughout the home, but there was nothing of yours there anymore

Grayson fell onto his knees as he sobbed with his head against the ground, that's when he started remembering all the promises he made to you but the one that stood out to him was the promise he had made to you with the promise ring he had gotten you

He had promised that he'd never leave you, that'd he'd always try his best to stay with you, through thick and thin and that he'd make you his wife one day and have a happy family

He ran out the door on the way to the local ring shop to get an engagement ring for you, one you had been ogling for a while

He didn't want to lose you, you were the only person who made him feel complete

Once he got the ring, he drove to the place he knew you'd be in, your brothers house

It wasn't that far away from where you guys had gotten a shared apartment, so it made sense that you would go there

Grayson knocked frantically on the door, noticing that it was know late in the afternoon

Your brother opened the door and sighed as he looked at the mess Grayson seemed to be

Hair clearly undone, eyes swollen from the crying he had done and eye bags under his eyes, clearly not having slept knowing his girlfriend was gone

"Listen Gray-"

"I want to marry Y/N, please b/n"

"G-Grayson! Why so sudden?"

"She's everything I have, she's the only person I love and who loves me back just as much...I know I've messed up with this job and that's why she left, but her leaving made me realize that I want to be with her forever, I love her b/n, I really do, please give me your blessing for me to ask her to marriage and let me know where she is" Grayson pleaded

B/n sighed as he just patted his friends head, "you have my blessing, but only because I know you guys love each other dearly and I don't know what you guys would do without each other, she's at her thinking spot, just across town, you remember it right?"

Grayson nodded as he ran to his vehicle and drove to the hilltop across town, where he knew you'd be at

He got out and ran to the top, stopping at a distance when he saw you with tears rolling down your eyes while looking at the ring he had given you

He walked cautiously to you and sat down, making you look at his movements as he pulled you into his chest and you sobbed, hugging tightly and finally feeling the warmth of being in his arms again

Grayson held your face in his hands as he wiped away the tears and kissed your lips, getting a tingling feeling as he had finally kissed you after such a long time had passed since he had shown affection

Grayson pulled away from you and got up on one knee in front of you as your eyes widened

"Gray" you whispered

"Y/N...I'm so sorry" he started as his voices cracked, "I pushed you away because I was feeling stressed out from work, I've been working tirelessly day and night because I want to give you the life you deserve, but I hadn't realized that along the way...I was hurting you, the one person who's been by my side and who's always taken my side even if I was wrong. You leaving made me realize that I really can't live without you and I don't ever want to live without you, so...Y/N would you do me the honor of becoming my wife?" Grayson said as he took out the box and showed the ring

"I promise I'll work harder to be more open about my struggles and I won't push you away anymore" he added as you just nodded and Grayson slipped the ring on your finger

You tackled him to the ground as you cupped his cheeks and kissed him passionately while Grayson held you against him

"I love you Gray" you whispered as you put your forehead against his

"I love you too Y/N, more than anything and anyone in the world"
