Happy Father's Day

A/N: Something short and sweet, Happy Father's Day!

"Will you really not be here for Father's Day?" You asked worried as you hugged your husband

"I'm so sorry Y/N, but E and I have to travel to another state for the company we're making a deal with"

You sighed not knowing how to break it to your children that they wouldn't be able to spend Father's Day with their father

"It's fine Gray...I'm sure our kids will understand"

And with that, Grayson was off to another state

"When's dad going to be back?" whined your seven year old daughter

"Dada" spoke your two year old son

"That's right baby, dada, umm, he should be back by next week" you responded

You were currently driving back home with your children from having left your husband and his twin at the airport

"We've never had a Father's Day without dad"

"I know sweetheart, I know, but there's nothing we could do about it" you sighed

As the days went by, Grayson would always call by FaceTime whenever he couldn't make the time

D/n would always say how much she would miss her father and s/n would just giggle whenever Grayson would make a silly face over the phone

"Are they asleep now?" asked Grayson as you had just left your two year old to sleep in his room

"Yep, they're all asleep now...we really do miss you Gray" you said as you got into the bed that now seemed a lot bigger than before

"I miss you guys too sweetheart, trust, the walls at this hotel are thin, I hear Ethan snore every single night" joked Grayson as he made you chuckle

The next day you were determined to not let this year's Father's Day with your children without their father

So you decided to buy some last minute tickets for you and your children to the place Grayson was at

You called Ethan so he could help get you the key to Grayson's room so you and the kids could surprise him

"Wow! Planes are so big!" spoke d/n as she looked around at the many seats

Soon enough you got to the hotel Grayson was staying at and you were able to get the key from the place Ethan had hid it

"When will daddy get here?"

"Dada!"

"Shh, he'll be here any minute" you whispered until you heard the door become unlocked and the light turned on

"Happy Father's Day!" You and your children shouted as you startled Grayson, making him fall to the floor

"Oh jesus" spoke Grayson as he tried getting breath back from the big surprise his family gave

"Dada!"

"Hey little buddy! What are you doing here?"

"We wanted to surprise you dad!"

"Aww, thank you!" spoke Grayson as he kissed their foreheads, "thank you" he whispered to you and kissed your lips softly

"Eww, cooties"

"Coothies!" copied s/n, making you and Grayson giggle
