NORMANI

"We got everything?" Normani asked as she started up her car.

"Yup," Solàna replied from the backseat. "All my equipment's in the trunk."

"I'm just the muscle," Kehlani smirked as she got in the passenger seat.

Normani chuckled before exiting the parking garage and heading up to Gettysburg. This was her and Dinah's third meeting. She remembered how happy the brunette sounded when she told her about Quincy meeting her mothers. Normani had to admit, as happy as she was for Dinah, she was a little jealous that she was the one who could have Quincy all to herself. She missed her husband. And although sleeping with Dinah was a good fix for her, nothing beat his touch. She had to keep reminding herself that she'd be reunited with him soon, and that some kind of compromise would be made in regard to her marriage. At least, what was left of it after she "died".

"Hey," Kehlani said, her hand on Normani's free one. "What you thinkin' about?"

"Just..." the ebony started, "...I'm ready. I'm ready for this to be over. I'm ready to be with my husband again. I'm just ready."

"I understand," the tatted woman replied. "I've been ready for an opportunity like this to come up. But we can't let our haste for freedom mess up the plan we have. If we're going to do this, we gotta do it right. We have to be very careful and make sure we cover all our bases so no one suspects a thing."

"I get you. I guess I'm just eager to get back to some type of normalcy in my life. I know I'll never have a completely normal life again, but at least with Daemon gone, I can have my family back."

"We got this, mamas. We're all gonna come out of this with what's due to us."

The three women made it to Gettysburg in a little under two hours. The ebony was tickled that Dinah was already parked. Today would be the day that their plans came into full effect. But when the brunette was the only one to get out of her car, Normani grew a little skeptical.

"Hey," Dinah greeted as she stood by her truck.

"Hey," Normani replied. "I thought you were bringing someone."

"I was," Dinah explained, "but she had the closing shift at the shop today, so she couldn't make it. So, it's just me again."

Normani chuckled before introducing Dinah to her friends.

"Dinah, this is my team. This is Solàna."

Dinah shook the ebony's hand.

"It's nice to meet you," she smiled.

"You, too," Solàna beamed.

"And this is Kehlani," Normani finished.

The ebony subtly rolled her eyes at the smirk the tatted woman gave Dinah as they shook hands.

"You're just as beautiful as your pictures," she smoothly said.

Dinah chuckled before bowing her head.

"Thank you! Your tattoos are beautiful. It must've hurt like a bitch to get them all, though."

Kehlani chuckled.

"I have a very high tolerance for pain," she said.

"Okay," Normani said, clapping her hands to stop the nauseating flirting happening before her eyes. "Let's get on with this meeting. There's a table over there we could set up shop at."

All four ladies made their way over to the table before Solàna set up her laptop. Normani sat next to Dinah, while Solàna and Kehlani sat across from them.
