DINAH

The past three days were absolute bliss for Dinah. Her, Quincy, and Adeya spent all their time loving little Aiden as he began to grow. Though he was still a newborn, his supernatural abilities allowed his body to grow faster than usual. He was now a full-sized, chunky baby. That made him all the more adorable in his parents' eyes. He was very attentive, observing every movement around him, no matter how subtle they were. His copper eyes were getting brighter with each passing day, a testament to how strong of a dhampir he'd be once he was older. Overall, he was a very good baby. And Dinah and Quincy just couldn't get enough of him. Unfortunately, the brunette had to start her training for when her and Normani were to finally face Daemon. Which meant that Quincy and Adeya couldn't be around to see. Luckily, her first day of training landed on the day the two had to go back to New Hope to start their new school/work week. They bid Aiden and Dinah a heartfelt goodbye, one they really didn't want to give. The brunette couldn't wait for them to return.

"Ready for training?" Chloe asked, coming up next to Dinah as they watched Quincy drive off down the driveway.

"As ready as I'll ever be," Dinah answered, bouncing her boy in her arms as he babbled to the sight of his father driving off. "We can't wait for daddy and Deya to come back, can we?"

Her baby voice got Aiden giddy as smiled bright, Dinah giggling before rubbing her nose against his. Chloe smiled at the sight before accepting the little one as he leaned her way. The two women made their way down to the bunker, Jordin, Bri, and Khalid meeting them at the combat ring. They were all dressed in work out gear, Jordin typing away at the nearest monitor to set up their matches. Everyone was given a match against Dinah – one to two rounds each with a tie-breaker round. The brunette couldn't deny how excited she was for this. It had been a while since she was able to put her fighting skills to the test. Her and her father used to have plenty of them when she was young. This would be a nostalgic experience for her. Bri came out the ring and greeted her friend before planting a kiss to Aiden's cheek.

"How ya feelin'?" the Poly asked.

"Good," Dinah smiled. "This is gonna be fun. I haven't really done this in years. Hope I'm not rusty."

Bri chuckled before putting her arm around the brunette's shoulders.

"Never that! Besides...you can't afford to be when your first match is against me."

Dinah's eyebrows shot up as she released a chuckle.

"We've been overdue for a rematch, anyway," the brunette challenged.

"Bring it on..."

The two fist bumped before Jordin got everyone's attention.

"Alright," the woman announced, "this is the day we've been waiting for...well, one of them anyway. Today, we'll all be going up against Dinah to test her fighting skills. Each of you will have a match against her consisting of two rounds, plus a tie-breaker round in case the score is tied. Let's see who has the best match."

The small group, including Aiden, cheered before the lights dimmed. Music began to play as Bri went up to face Dinah.

Upon the first beat drop, the lights completely blacked out before two spotlights shone on Bri and Dinah. The brunette began to smirk as her auburn eyes gleamed, Bri's teal eyes doing the same. They circled each other, sizing one another up. Everyone else outside the ring was glued to their every move, like they were watching an MMA fight. Bri charged first, coming at Dinah with lightning speed. The brunette easily dodged the attack before blocking Bri's punch. Dinah drew a few punches of her own, each one missing as Bri dodged them all. One hit came close to the Poly's cheek, only missing by an inch. In all the chaos, Dinah kept a close eye on her friend's movements, quickly beginning to mimic them. Bri noticed the similarities in fighting styles before chancing a glance at her friend's eyes. She froze in her spot at what she saw before a single hit from Dinah knocked her off her feet.
