DINAH

"You sure you're okay with me going to work?" Quincy asked for the thousandth time.

"And me going to school?" Adeya asked.

Dinah chuckled at the look of worry in their eyes as she stood with them out in the driveway.

"I'm very sure, babies," she said. "I promise."

The couple agreed that Quincy and Adeya would to go to work and school, in person, for three days out of the week during Dinah's pregnancy. Then, on the weekends, they would come back to the lake house. It would be perfect for Jordin to help carry out their part of the mission without being compromised. Dinah welcomed Adeya's affection before covering her face in kisses, the little one giggling before getting back down. Dinah then looked up at Quincy, the twenty-nine-year-old pulling her in before giving her a lingering kiss. He then knelt down to kiss her stomach, Aiden immediately moving at the sound of his father's voice.

"See you later, lil' man," Quincy smiled. "Be good for mommy, alright?"

Adeya pecked Dinah's stomach soon after, the brunette smiling beside herself at the sight.

"I love you, baby brother," she whispered to him.

Dinah gave her boyfriend one last goodbye kiss before uttering her love for him against his lips. She watched as him and Adeya drove down the driveway, holding her stomach and rubbing where Aiden was.

"Looks like we'll finally have some mommy-and-son time," she smiled.

She went back in the house and was met with Chloe, the two of them smiling at each other before the siren walked her upstairs. The brunette was tickled at the sight of various junk foods laid out on the bed, the pillows fluffed out against the headboard, and a laptop by the foot of the bed with Netflix up and running, a small projector propped in front of it to show the movie on the wall.

"Did you do this for me?" Dinah asked Chloe.

"I did," the young siren beamed. "I know we've already slept together...three times...but I figured what better way to get close to my girl than with unhealthy snacks and movies?"

Dinah chuckled as Chloe helped her on the bed.

"You're so cute. And you got all my favorites! Victoria would be so jealous."

Chloe laughed before opening a bag of chips.

"Next time, her and Lani are definitely invited. You can pick the first movie, by the way."

After retrieving the laptop and scrolling through the many choices, Dinah settled on watching Titanic. Her and Chloe cuddled up to one another as the movie began.

"So..." Dinah said after a while, "...why do you think Halle denied your connection the other day?"

"I don't know, honestly," Chloe answered. "She's never done that before. I don't want to overthink it and come up with worst case scenarios. I trust her. I just hope she's being careful."

"Evidently, she did quite the number on Daemon. He regards her highly already."

Chloe smiled proudly.

"That's my sister. She's able to charm anyone with just a look."

"And you aren't?" Dinah chuckled.

"She has a more romantic way of luring people in," Chloe giggled. "That's something she got for our mom."

Dinah smiled.

"I can see it. I'm sure Jordin's gonna want to try again today. You think we'll have more success?"
