DINAH

"So..." the blonde said as her and Chloe lounged around in bed, "...you and Khalid..."

The young siren blushed at the mention of his name. Dinah chuckled at the action.

"How did that happen?" Dinah asked.

"Well..." Chloe began, "...him and I started getting close after our combat assessment over at HQ. He has such a kind soul. And he treats me like this delicate little flower."

"Do sirens generally get into relationships with other species?"

"It's definitely unheard of. But New Ages are known to break age old rules in our community. Because we live in our own little society, we're not held to human standards like vampires are."

"You guys are lucky," Dinah said. "I'm still trying to wrap my mind around how the protector of worlds and the goddess of the sun had sirens...of different generations, might I add. Your parents must be centuries old."

Chloe smiled before getting her phone and scrolling through her pictures. She showed the blonde two combined photos of her parents – one of her father who had eyes of fire, holding a mighty sword that gleamed of the purest gold, and one of her mother whose eyes were as bright as the sun, her hair a rich shade of blonde as a sun crown graced her head.
