DINAH

"So, this is what a complete renovation looks like, huh?" Victoria said as Dinah got in her sports Jaguar.

Dinah chuckled before kissing the ebony's cheek.

"Trust me," she said, "you'll be saying different words once you see the inside. How was work?"

"Good, as usual! It was kinda slow towards the end of the day, which is why I was able to get off early. Speaking of which, Jackie says welcome back, and to report to work at noon tomorrow."

"Noon?" Dinah asked. "Why in the middle of the day?"

"He said he has some family business to tend to all morning."

"Well, alright then. Did you miss me while I was gone?"

"Of course, I did! It's not fun playing with myself if you're not there to watch me."

Dinah scoffed before putting her hand on her forehead.

"You're a mess," she laughed.

"That's why you love me," Victoria smiled.

Before long, the two were making their way into Verti Cucina. The greeter smiled at them as they approached.

"Evening, ladies," she said. "Are you dining in with us today?"

"We're actually here for pick up," Dinah said.

"Okay, great! You two can go right up to the end of the bar and Jonathan will take care of you from there."

"Thanks."

Dinah and Victoria made their way to the bar just in time for the bartender to come out from the kitchen's entryway.

"Hey ladies! I'm Jonathan. Can I interest you in our house special? Or are you here for pick up?"

"Pick up," Dinah smiled. "The order's under the name Dinah."

Jonathan looked behind him and retrieved the bin full of takeout bags.

"That's a big order," he chuckled. "Dealin' with a full house?"

"Oh, yes," Dinah giggled.

"Me, included," Victoria chimed in.

"A beauty with an appetite," Jonathan said. "I'm here for it."

The red head looked up at Victoria in time to see her wink at him. Dinah chuckled at the exchange before carrying both bins like they were nothing. Her and Victoria made their way back to the car, Dinah putting the food in the backseat.

"Is it possible for you to not flirt with every living thing with two legs?" she asked.

"You're asking me to not be myself, D," Victoria chuckled.

The two continued to chat until they returned back to HQ.

"Vic, watch this," Dinah said.

She brought her eye up to the security system.

"Dinah Jane Lewis...cleared."

"Whoa..." Victoria said, "...she kinda sounds like the scanning machine from that show Martin Mystery. I miss that show."

"She recognizes you too," Dinah chuckled.

"Really?"

"Yeah! Try it!"

The ebony approached the system, only for Dinah to stop her.

"Look at me," the brunette said.

Victoria did just that.
