DINAH

Thursday came faster than expected. As usual, Victoria helped the Dinah get herself ready after they had successfully packed everything she'd need for the trip. Once everything was packed, Victoria walked Dinah down to her truck, giving her a hug goodbye before watching her drive out of the parking garage. Dinah took her time in getting over to New Hope. After about forty-five minutes, she parked her truck next to Quincy's in his driveway. Just as she got out of her truck, Adeya came running towards her, her smile the biggest she's ever seen it.

"Hey, princess!" Dinah exclaimed as she picked the little one up. "You excited for our trip?"

"Uh huh!" Adeya responded as she clung to Dinah. "We're gonna have so much fun!"

Dinah smiled as she went around to grab her overnight bag, Adeya still on her hip.

"Did you pack Sparkles?" she asked.

Sparkles was Adeya's stuffed bear that she always kept close to her. She never went anywhere without it if she could help it.

"She's buckled up in daddy's car," she smiled. "She's excited, too!"

"I bet she is," Dinah giggled. "Where's daddy?"

"Right here," she heard Quincy say from behind her.

She blushed as he planted a kiss on her cheek before playfully poking Adeya in her side, causing her to giggle before leaning into Dinah.

"Hey babe," Dinah greeted.

"Hey," he smiled, pecking her lips before taking her overnight bag. "How was the drive?"

"Good. Traffic wasn't bad coming out of the city. Were you able to get everything packed?"

"I did. Everything's already in the trunk. Ready to go?"

Dinah nodded before allowing Quincy to open the back door for her. The brunette fastened Adeya in her car seat before closing her door and getting into the passenger seat. Quincy got into the driver's seat after closing the trunk, and the trio was on their way to the twenty-nine-year-old's private jet. Dinah couldn't help but marvel at its luxuriousness once they arrived. As soon as Quincy parked, employees were opening his trunk and putting them on the jet swiftly. Dinah looked at her boyfriend as he bashfully chuckled.

"It was a gift from my dad after he passed down the label to me," he said. "I don't really use it much."

"You've got to be one of the most modest rich men I've ever known," Dinah chuckled.

The two got out the car before getting Adeya and her bear.

"Morning, Mr. Brown," the pilot greeted. "Long time no see."

"What's good, Leo?" Quincy smiled as him and Leo shook hands. "Everything lookin' good for the flight to Cali?"

"Absolutely," Leo said. "Tested her out all of yesterday and she didn't skip a beat. She's ready to fly."

The gray-haired man locked eyes with Adeya and smiled before reaching behind her ear and revealing a lollipop, one that was, apparently, her favorite flavor. Dinah chuckled at the little one's gasp.

"You remembered!" she exclaimed. "Thanks, Mr. Leo!"

"Anything for you, deary," he responded before looking up at the brunette. "And you must be Ms. Jane. It's a pleasure to meet you. Name's Leo – finest pilot you'll ever meet."

Dinah smiled as she shook his hand.

"It's nice to meet you," she said. "But you can just call me Dinah. 'Ms. Jane' makes me feel like an old woman."

Leo laughed as he fastened his hat.

"A beauty with a sense of humor," he smiled. "I like you already! We're prepared to take off whenever you all are ready."

"Good lookin' out, Leo," Quincy said.

Dinah carried Adeya to the jet's stairs, Quincy behind her with his hand on the small of her back. She sat in a window seat after allowing Adeya to occupy the seat next to hers. The little one made sure she was securely fastened for takeoff. Dinah did the same, as did Quincy. Once the jet was at a certain altitude, Leo made the announcement that they were free to roam about the jet. The first thing Adeya did after taking off her seat belt was hop into Dinah's lap to see the pretty clouds. Dinah smiled down at her as she secured her arms around her tiny body. She watched as Quincy came over next to her from his seat, putting his arm around her just as she melted against the warmth of his body.

"We should be there in about five hours," Quincy said to her. "Not gonna lie, though. I'm glad I get these few hours with you two all to myself. You know, before we rarely have any alone time."

Dinah chuckled as she looked into her boyfriend's eyes.

"I agree," she said. "It'll put my nerves at ease."

"You have nothing to be nervous about, babe. They're gonna love you. Just be yourself. I just hope you have enough energy to deal with my brothers. I'm the calm one out of the bunch."

"I can see that," Dinah giggled.

She looked down at the six-year-old as she let out a yawn. Her eyes were slowly closing as she watched each cloud pass by. Dinah smiled before picking her up as she rose from her seat. She followed Quincy to the back room before gently laying Adeya on the bed and tucking her in under the covers.

"Well, that didn't take long," the brunette whispered.

"Plane rides always help her sleep," Quincy chuckled quietly.

The couple exited the room hand in hand. They sat back in their seat before one of the flight attendants offered them light refreshments.

"Thanks, Carol," Quincy smiled.

"Of course, Mr. Brown," Carol said.

She then smiled at Dinah.

"If there's anything you need, June and I will be near the crew rest."

"Thank you," Dinah smiled.

Once the two were alone, Quincy grabbed Dinah by her hips and brought her on his lap, Dinah giggling before wrapping her arms loosely around his neck. It didn't take her long to get lost in his eyes.

"I'm so glad you're with me," Quincy said, almost as if he were in some kind of trance.

"Well, I wouldn't miss an opportunity to go on a weekend long date with my man to the west coast," Dinah giggled.

"No," Quincy said, "I mean I'm glad that you're with me...that you said yes to going out with me, that you said yes to meeting my family...that you said yes to loving me...and that you said yes to letting me love you. This is the happiest I've been in a long time. And it's all because of you."

Dinah melted at the twenty-nine-year-old's words before bringing her lips to his. Words couldn't describe how in love she was with this man. The large amount of feelings she had for him should've scared the hell out of her, but, oddly enough, it eased her mind. A love like the one she shared with Quincy was hard to come by in this generation. And for that love to manifest between a human and a vampire? That told the brunette that anything was possible.

"I could never bring myself to tell you no," Dinah uttered against his lips.

"I love you so much."

"I love you, too."

The couple had about five hours to kill before they'd land in L.A. Dinah knew that her boyfriend had one thing on his mind to pass the time, but she wanted to toy with him a little. Her eyes began to glow, and soon, she could read Quincy's mind. It didn't surprise her in the slightest what he was thinking of.

"Nothing's stopping you..." she whispered before sucking his bottom lip.

She smirked at the sound of his low chuckle, her body erupting in goosebumps at the feeling of his hands massaging her ass.

"Be a good girl and stay quiet for me," he commanded, lifting her shirt and bra before putting her nipple into his mouth.

"Yes, daddy..." she moaned.

These next five hours would be just what Dinah needed to ease her nerves.
