HALLE

Halle and Ty had Quincy, Adeya, and Aiden with them in hyper sleep as they followed Normani and Dinah's lead to the hideaway point, Victoria and Kehlani covering them from the back. There was still no signs of Daemon, which only made the young Circe's anxiety grow. She didn't want anyone to get hurt, and her plan had to go accordingly if everyone wanted the best outcome. A touch of Ty's hand startled her out of her thoughts before they locked eyes.

"You can do this," he assured her. "Remember, whatever you do...whatever you decide...I'll be right beside you."

Halle smiled before touching her hand to his cheek. She suddenly felt a sharp pain across her stomach. It felt like someone had gashed her deep. Her only thought was her mother, remembering that she was battling her greatest enemy.

"Don't worry, love," a deep voice sounded. "I'm looking after your mother and keeping your sister safe."

Halle smiled before nodding.

"Thank you, daddy," she said. "We're almost to the hideaway point. When I give the go ahead, I need you guys to meet me there."

"Of course. Be careful..."

Ty glanced at Halle briefly before bringing his attention back to the road ahead.

"Was that your dad?" he asked.

"Yeah," Halle answered. "Looks like you'll get to meet him and my mom sooner than you think."

Ty chuckled as he continued driving. He then took a firm hold of Halle's hand, rubbing her knuckles with his thumb.

"This will work," he said. "If Daemon comes, we'll be ready."

Halle released a breath as they arrived at the hideaway point. Once Ty helped her out of the truck, she brought the family of three inside to a secret bunker, one that Normani had mentioned to her a while ago. Normani and Dinah met her there as everyone else stayed downstairs.

"You think they'll be safe here?" Dinah asked.

"It's the only option we have," Normani answered. "Daemon knows nothing about this place, or the hidden rooms in it."

"What do you want me to do?" Halle asked.

"I need you to stay with them," Normani said, looking straight into the Circe's golden eyes. "You're the only one out of all of us here that can keep them in this state."

"And you're technically the strongest one here," Dinah chimed in.

"Debatable!" Kehlani said from downstairs.

The three women laughed before falling silent again. In reality, they were all trying to hide the fact that they were scared. Everyone's lives were at stake at this very moment. Normani of all people knew that Daemon may have been a lot of things, but he was never sloppy. He was always tactful with what he did. Which is why not seeing him at all had her on edge. She looked at her husband and daughter longingly as they all waded out the night.

"Look on the bright side," Dinah said, holding her from behind, "the sooner this is over, the sooner we'll all be together."

Normani smiled before looking at the brunette.

"You realize none of this would be possible without you, right?"

Dinah smiled before giving Normani a lingering kiss. Halle smiled at the sight before her eyes suddenly began to glow. Her smile disappeared as she slowly stood from where she sat.
