He leaned more in as I thought he was going to kiss me, so I closed my eyes waiting for his lips to touch mine. Finally, it was happening. Finally, he was going to kiss me. Even though we were in between few people, it didn't seem to matter right now. I could feel his hot mint breath on my face.
But, to my dismay, he ruffled my hair roughly, as now my once perfectly combed hair got disordered. I opened my eyes in confusion and I became a bit frustrated for not getting what I wanted. He backed off as he finally settled on his seat again chuckling in victory.
His chuckle turned into fits of laughter when he saw my flustered face which I assume is covered with a deep shade of red. My frustration dissolved when I heard his carefree laughter. Katsuki wasn't someone who would laugh carefree often, and I could help but smile at the fact that I was the one who made him laugh.
"You should look at your face, Seiren," He said as I raised my eyebrows in amusement.
"Seiren huh?" I asked.
"Yeah. I let you call me by my first name. So, it would be even if I call you by your first name too," He said.
"But, I thought I was an 'annoying bird'," I said.
"Yes, that's your nickname of course," He said. I smiled shaking my head. We get into arguments, we fight and yet I feel so happy and relaxed around him.
"You done eating?" He asked as he finished his food. I nodded.
"Yeah," I said.
"Good, now let's go," He said.
"Okay," I said as I got up. We both made our way to the exit and then his car.
While he was driving I saw he wasn't taking the road from where Keigo's house come. I looked at him in confusion.
"Where are we going?" I asked him.
"Do you trust me?" He asked. Is this man for real? I almost died saving him and he's asking me if I trust him.
"Of course, I do!" I said.
"Well then shut up and sit," He said. I shrugged and sat in silence, it wasn't like he would tell me where we were going or anything.
"Is this a date?" I asked as soon as the question popped up in my mind.
"Yes it is, now will you shut up," He said. I rolled my eyes.
"At least he could have asked me first," I mumbled. He noticed it but didn't say anything further.
"Can I play music?" I asked in few seconds again. He rolled his eyes.
"Do you not know how to shut up?" He asked. I mean I know how to shut up but seeing him getting all worked up whenever I annoyed him gave me a different level of happiness.
"No," I said giggling as I poked his cheek with my forefinger. He took my hand and held it with his as he intertwined his fingers with mine. My breath hitched when I felt his warm hand on mine, as his finger perfectly intertwined with mine.
"What now, bird? Cat got your tongue?" He asked with a smirk as I tried to pull my hand away from his grip but he didn't let it go. Instead, he just placed his and my hand on his thighs while he continued to drive. Our fingers were still intertwined as he gave a gentle squeeze to my hand. I was feeling the jungle in my stomach again. This man has an effect on me and I won't even deny it now.
