Your heart sinks as you hear Lizzie's name. "What did she say?"

You wait for Sarah to answer, unsure if you really want to know the truth. Before Sarah can answer, she excuses herself from the room to answer a phone call.

"Excuse me, someone's calling me" Sarah says as she walks out back to the pool.

"Hello?" Sarah says into her phone as she steps out back.

"Hi" Lizzie says quietly into her phone.

"I just saw your text, (Y/N) is doing fine. We just got home, thank you for asking" Sarah says, trying to keep it short.

"That's great. I've been thinking about her, I'm glad that she's home now" Lizzie says on the other line.

Sarah pauses before answering Lizzie, thinking out what she wants to say.

"I heard about what happened at the hospital with (Y/N)" Sarah says as she kicks around a rock on the ground.

Lizzie sighs into her phone, "Yeah, I felt it was for the best. Robbie wasn't comfortable with the friendship and I had to respect that."

Sarah clenches her teeth and shakes her head as she feels herself becoming angry with Lizzie. She does her best to keep her composure, "Liz, (Y/N) is a person with feelings. You can't keep changing your mind on what you want with her. I care about you both dearly, but this isn't fair to her. She really cares about you and wants what's best for you but you need to think about how your actions may affect her."

Lizzie sighs again into her phone, "I know, trust me, I really feel like an asshole. I know I really fucked up this time with (Y/N) and I just feel so stupid."

Sarah doesn't say anything, she allows Lizzie to continue on.

"I really care about (Y/N) too but I feel like I keep hurting her. From what you say, you obviously know that is true. I just felt that maybe if I removed myself from her life the hurting would end."

Sarah shakes her head as she listens to Lizzie, Lizzie had it all wrong.

"So, you thought leaving the person who cares about you would stop the hurting? I think that just caused more hurting."

Lizzie knows she messed up as she closes her eyes and processes the conversation she's about to have with Sarah.

"I don't know why, but at the time, yes I thought that was the best. I felt I was the one causing her all this pain so if I removed myself from the situation, her pain would go away."

Sarah laughs into the phone as she listens to Lizzie, "Lizzie, how can you be so blind? You are all (Y/N) talks about. Hell, (Y/N) cares about you with every inch of her body. How can you not see that?"

Lizzie begins to tear up, knowing that she has hurt you even more than she wanted too and now she may never get you back.

"I just don't know what to do Sarah. I feel so lost and confused. The things I feel when I'm with (Y/N) are things I've never felt before. Not with Robbie, not with anyone."

Sarah pauses for a moment before answering Lizzie, "I don't think removing yourself from (Y/N)'s life is the best decision. I understand you did this for Robbie and you want to respect Robbie, but how is that fair to you? (Y/N) is always good to you, there is no reason for her to be cut out like that."

"I know, I know. She is more than good, she is beyond words. I don't know why Robbie feels so intimidated by her."

Sarah takes a deep breath before spilling the truth to Lizzie, nervous as to how she would take it.

"He's intimidated by (Y/N) because (Y/N) treats you better than he does. Although you've only known (Y/N) for a short time and you two haven't spent much time together, those few moments you were together she treated you as if you were the only girl in the world. Fuck Lizzie, you are the only girl in HER world. That's why Robbie is intimidated by her, because in a few short days, (Y/N) has done more for you than he has in the past 4 years."

There's a long pause before anyone says anything. Sarah stands there waiting for Lizzie to say something. She begins to bite the inside of her cheek, nervous as to how Lizzie will take what she just said to her.

On the other end, Lizzie stands there in her kitchen processing what Sarah has told her. She knows Sarah is right, but truth is, she was terrified of pursing something with (Y/N). Terrified of how it could affect (Y/N), affect both of their careers. It would bring so much change to their lives and she was scared of what that change would be.

Lizzie begins to speak into her phone, "I-I, I don't know what to say. Truthfully, I care about your sister more than anything in this world. But, I also love Robbie and I need to figure my owns things out."

Sarah shakes her head, "Whatever Lizzie, until you figure it out, please leave (Y/N) out of it. She's already hurting too much and needs to focus on her recovery. Good bye."

With that, Sarah hangs up her phone and stands outside trying to process everything that was said. She knows she has to come up with some story to tell you because you would ask what Lizzie texted her and who called her.

Before walking back inside, Sarah calms herself down and heads in with a smile.

"Who called?" You ask from the couch.

Sarah smiles at you, "It was just Ryan. We were talking about the future filming schedule for AHS."

"Oh really? It seemed like things were getting a bit heated, is everything okay?" You ask concerned.

Sarah's smile grows bigger as she walks over to you, "How did I get so lucky to have such a caring sister? Everything's okay, let's get you up to bed so you can begin your bed rest."

You nod in agreement with Sarah as you grab her hand and use it to pull yourself off the couch. The two of you head up to your room together where your recovery will officially begin.

You walk into your room, change into a pair of sweatpants and t-shirt, and climb into bed. You get under the covers and get comfortable as you turn your tv on. Sarah climbs into bed next to you, getting comfortable.

"What did Lizzie want?" You ask as you scroll through Hulu to put Futurama on.

"Oh, nothing important" Sarah says as she scrolls through her phone.

'I guess she really doesn't care about me' you think to yourself as you put Futurama on.

As you resume the episode where you left off, Sarah gets out of you bed and begins to make her way out.

"Where are you going?" You ask as Sarah heads for the door.

"I'm going to whip you up something to eat" Sarah says with a smile as she goes to leave your room.

You smile to yourself as Sarah leaves your room, 'She really is the best' you think to yourself. Although, something seemed off about Sarah and you could tell she was keeping something from you. Ever since her phone call with "Ryan", you could tell something was bothering her but you didn't know what since she wouldn't tell you. Similar to you, you know Sarah will tell you when she feels comfortable, so you decide to brush it off and not let it bother you.

As Sarah heads to the kitchen, she begins to tear up from her conversation with Lizzie. She hates how she ended the phone call and she knows she was acting on emotion. But she also knows how much Lizzie has hurt you and it hurt Sarah even more knowing that she introduced you two. Although she knew Lizzie did care about you, she wished you two had never met.
