Runyon Canyon Park

The phone continues to buzz in your hand as you stare at Lizzie's name across the phone screen. You hesitate to answer the call, nervous as to what would come of the phone call. Just before the ringing ends, you swipe your thumb across the screen; answering the phone.

You slowly raise the phone to your ear as the anxiety builds up in your body. You watch as Becky walks away from you before saying anything.

"He- uh, hi Liz" you say stumbling over your words.

There's a long pause before anyone says something next. You contemplate ending the call out of fear that this was a mistake.

"Hi (Y/N)" you hear Lizzie say weakly.

Chills go down your spine at the sound of her voice. After yesterday's conversation, you were a nervous wreck at the thought of ever speaking to Lizzie again. But here you are, speaking to Lizzie.

"Did you need something?" You ask Lizzie, keeping the conversation going.

"Uh, uh yes, kinda. I wanted to speak with you" Lizzie says nervously.

Your hands begin to feel clammy as you listen to Lizzie speak.

"Actually, uh, (Y/N), are you free right now? I need to see you."

You're shocked that Lizzie actually wants to see you.

"Uh no, no I'm not busy. Where do you want to meet?"

"Meet me at Runyon Canyon Park? We can go for a hike."

"Okay, I'll meet you there in 30."

"Okay, see you in 30."

You hang up the phone and lower the phone from you ear. You couldn't believe that Lizzie wanted to meet with you. But at the same time, you were terrified as to what she wanted to talk about. You make your way back into Sarah and Holland's house to get ready for your hike with Lizzie.

"Soooo? What did she want?" Becky asks as you enter the house.

"I'm not sure. She wants to meet at Runyon Canyon Park to talk. We are going to go on a hike" you say to Becky as you make your way over to the stairs.

Becky watches as you walk upstairs towards your room. Once you enter your room, Becky walks over to the kitchen where everyone is still seated.

"Soooo (Y/N) is getting ready to go on a hike at Runyon Canyon Park with Lizzie" Becky says as she takes a seat at the island.

"What? She's going to meet up with Elizo?" Justin asks as he watches Becky lower into her seat.

Becky nods her head yes as she hears you make your way back down the stairs. You walk into the kitchen and grab a water bottle from the cabinet. You walk over to the fridge, grab some ice, and begin to fill the bottle up with water.

"Are you nervous?" Justin asks as he turns in his seat to look at you.

"I'm terrified. I'm literally sweating buckets right now" you say as you watch your bottle fill with water.

As the water reaches the top of the bottle, you pull the bottle away from the fridge and screw the lid on.

"Sarah, is it okay if I borrow your car?" You ask as you tighten the lid.

Sarah gives you a nod and you make your way over to the key rack to grab her keys. You make your way out the front door and head over to her car. You get into Sarah's car and buckle yourself in. Just before you leave, you text Lizzie that you are on your way.
