CHAPTER 74:Paalam?

Magkahalong kaba at pagkapanatag akong umupo sa harap niya.I am relieved that she decided to contact me before I could even consider doing it.But at the same time,I feel anxious as to why she decided to.

What if behind this sudden invitation is a scheme that will endanger both me and my unborn child?What if I'm doing this recklessly?

"I can clearly hear your thoughts from where I am."she commented after seeing how I manage to sit down in a few moments without asking for anything. 

Umayos ako ng upo bago siya tinitigan.

"Anong kailangan mo?"walang ano-ano ay tanong ko.Sasakit na ata ang ulo ko sa kaiisip kung ano ang intensiyon niya.

with what I said,she smiled before calling out a waiter.

"we should atleast eat something before I'll tell you what my intention is."she said as the the waiter handed her the menu.However,I remain unbothered enough to regain back her attention.

"I'm sorry to spoil your generosity but I can't be out for too long."untag ko bago ko binalik ang menu na ibinigay sa akin ng waiter.Matunog na isinarado niya ang menu na hawak at inilapag ito sa lamesa bago nginitian ang waiter.

"I'll call you later."

Matapos umalis ng waiter ay hinarap niya ako at inusog ang envelope na kanina pang nakalatag sa lamesa papalapit sa akin.Kinunutan ko siya ng noo kaya sinenyas niya na kunin ko ito.

"That will help Gino in putting his father behind bars."

Bigla ay napatitig ako sa envelope at hindi mapigilang maisip na baka isa na naman ito sa patibong nila.Alam nilang hindi nila basta-basta mapapaikot si Gino kaya ako ang pinunterya nila.A bigger chance to happen.

Napansin nyang wala akong planong kunin ang envelope kaya napabuntong-hininga siya.

"I know I've been a bad person in your eyes given what I had done to destroy you and Gino but believe me,I want this over.I want to live peacefully even if it means I have to give up my father too."Her tone suddenly became full of tiredness and guilt.

Judging from how she looks in my eyes now,I can see sincerity in her eyes.But I can't just accept what she just told me.I have to be a better judge now or else,I'll be ruining everything.

"Why did you want to give this to me?why not Gino?"tanong ko upang mas makilatis pa ang sitwasyon.

"It may not be obvious but my dad and Gino's dad hired some men to tail me.I have to be careful lalo na at alam nilang pinuntahan ko si Gino kahapon.I was going to hand this over to him yesterday but something happened and I ended up pulling an act to cover up my real intention."

So,she decided to pretend like meeting Gino out of her affection towards him?and that is what I saw yesterday?

"But somehow,I manage to tell him secretly why I suddenly barged in Forza.That is why I messaged you in another contact and secretly meet you today so I can hand this over."She explained further.

Unti-unti ay naliliwanagan na ako sa mga sinabi niya but I still keep it.She saw how I resisted into believing her so she reached my hand and to my surprise,inilapit niya ang kamay ko sa likod ng leeg niya.Doon ko lang napansin ang hindi kalakihang bandage doon bago ang pamamasa ng mata niya.

"I don't want you to pity me just for you to believe in what I am saying but I don't have other choice.Believe me,Kiara.This is the only thing I could do to help you end this because I am afraid he'll do something to harm me and my child."

I froze with her sudden confession.She's pregnant?Is she putting up a scheme again so she could win my trust??

Tinitigan ko siya at doon lng natantong nagbawas siya ng timbang.Inagaw ko ang kamay ko sa kanya at umayos ng pagkakaupo.Nababahala akong napatingin sa kabuuan niya.How could she conceive a child when all she was after for is Gino??I am pretty confident that the child was not Gino's...or am I too confident??
