(Author's POV)

Itachi had just gotten out of the bath when he felt strange. In his mind, he knew something was wrong, but he couldn't put his finger on it.
Itachi quickly put on his black slik pajamas and headed towards the kid's room. He looked around for a second and didn't see anything out of place.

Itachi: I must be tired that's all.

He walked out again and headed to his room. Laying down in his bed, Itachi noticed one thing out of place. The lock of the balcony door was unlocked.

(Itachi's POV)

I quickly jumped out of bed and backed away in a corner. Activating my Sharingan I looked around the room. Slowly in the darkness, 3 figures appeared before me. Were they watching me the whole time?

I began locating their chakra signature, but I sensed 4 of them. Where was the 4th one? Suddenly someone grabbed my arm from behind. In one quick movement, I turned and kicked the man. The others soon ran towards me and we all began fighting. I didn't have any weapons on me so it made it difficult to fight. In the darkness, my Sharingan couldn't make out where the people were that good. That's when a fist came flying towards me and I was thrown against the wall.

Itachi: ACK! WHO ARE YOU, PEOPLE?!!

The 4 men just simply chuckled and one kicked me on my side.
Whoever these people were, they were strong. They knew my weaknesses and came after me when I was off guard.

Itachi: w-why are you here?

???: where is Kisame?

I contemplated for a moment. I couldn't tell them where he was. If I did then he would get hurt.

Itachi: I don't know. Now leave us alone-

The man ignored my pleas and kicked me harder. I coughed up blood and held my stomach in pain. I was ready to get hit when suddenly the door burst open.

(Authors POV)

Kakuzu: LEAVE MOMMY ALONE!!!

All six of the children had woken up to the sound of banging from Itachi's room. They were scared, but they wanted to know what the sound was. With fear still in them, they all followed the sound and figured out that there were some intruders in the base.
So when all 6 of them came in sight of Itachi getting hurt they jumped into action.

Sasori was throwing puppet parts at them, Zetsu was running underneath them and biting them. Deidara and Tobi were hitting the surprised intruders with pans.

Hidan: KAAYAHHH!!

Hidan had hit two of the men in their private parts like Sasori had told him to do, and Kakuzu with his messing handwriting wrote in a scroll the words "Help us, mommy is getting hurt. These fish-faced people are bullying mommy!".
Kakuzu being small still knew how to summon a bird. Kisame had taught him just in case of an emergency and well it seemed to Kakuzu that this indeed was one of those emergencies his parent had taught him. He held onto the bird and hid it under his pajamas.

Suddenly one of the men grabbed Sasori from his collar and tossed him across the room. Itachi watched in horror as Sasori hit the wall and fell on the floor with a thud. The children ran to Sasori who was crying in pain on the floor.

???: HA, so you think that you can get away with attacking me you disgusting pest.

He started to walk towards the group of kids. Itachi had tears in his eyes with every step the guy took. He tried getting up but was in pain.
