//Oh hello, I didn't see you there😀, but welcome to mi casa.//

*Trigger warning*

(Author's POV)

Quiet. That's all that was heard throughout the house as Itachi sat on the cold hardwood floor. The only noise that reminded Itachi that everything was real was the clock ticking on the wall. He brought his knees close and stared in the dark void of the living room. His cheek tingling with the sensation of pain. His heart ached and he couldn't control himself any longer.
Itachi violently shook and let the tears fall from his onyx eyes. He was tired of everything and everyone. Itachi cried till his throat felt sore and his eyes turned puffy and red. Nothing felt like it was worth it anymore. All he felt was pain and sorrow.

Daiki: Itachi?!

Itachi looked up and saw Daiki staring at him from the rails upstairs and didn't even question how he got in. He just began sobbing once more till the man jumped from the stairs and in front of him.

Daiki: What's the matter? What happened!?!

Itachi couldn't respond and only cried. His mind was too clouded with feelings of sadness and regret to even care if someone saw him cry.
Daiki brought Itachi into his arms and held him firmly against his chest. Itachi's choked cries filled the room as the Anbu tried calming him down. Daiki gentle stroked his head and whispered comforting words to the broken human in his arms. He picked him up and moved to the couch as Itachi grew silent and relaxed a bit before letting the tired feeling consume him completely. The comfort of having someone close embracing him wasn't there like he'd hoped. Kisame was the only one in his heart that would allow him to feel that.

Itachi awoke an hour later on the couch with a brown fuzzy blanket over his body. He sat up and rubbed his eyes in confusion. His head still had a slight buzzing noise going on as he looked around.

Itachi: D-Daiki?

Daiki: Yes?

Itachi turned his head to the kitchen and saw the man without his gear and only in his black clothing which he wore underneath the grey armor. He was pouring tea into two cups before walking carefully to the living room and handing to steaming beverage to Itachi.

Itachi: Thank you. . .

Itachi took a small sip and set the cup down on the coffee table.

Itachi: How did you get in, Daiki?

Daiki looked puzzled for a moment and scratched the top of his head a bit before nervously answering.

Daiki: Well, I heard you crying from outside and thought you got hurt, so I came in from your room balcony upstairs.

Itachi: Oh.

Itachi brought his knees back up to his chest and avoided Daiki's gaze. He found it awkward being comforted by someone that wasn't Kisame.

Daiki: Itachi you can trust me with anything, so please tell me what happened.

Itachi looked up and stared into Daiki's eyes. He felt a strange vibe from him but couldn't put his finger on it.

Itachi: I just got in a fight with my father that's all.

Daiki leaned uncomfortably close to the Uchiha and smiled a bit.

Daiki: I'll accept that as an answer, Itachi.

Itachi looked perplexed and slightly shifted away. Daiki laughed a bit and went back to his normal position on the other side of the couch.
