<Hello beautiful people🤩. Your not-so-favorite Mini Neji has arrived to steal your knee caps. Be prepared for some tea🗿👀>

(Itachi's POV)

When I woke up, Kisame had told me that the doctors told me I could finally leave. He brought me a spare change of clothing which was the usual thing I would wear under my Akatsuki cloak and a pair of my shoes. He apparently went back to the base while I slept and got these things for me.
Eventually, he had to go with Konan and Pain who informed me that they were going to go and find a cure for the sake that turned the members into children.

I decided that it would be best if I went to visit Sasori.

When I walked to his room I saw his short red hair crazily spread out on the pillow. Tons of tubes and machines were around him. Then the second thing I noticed was my own mother sitting on the small couch on the other side of the room.

Itachi: M-mom?!

She smiled at me and waved me over to sit right next to her. The last time I saw her was when I was 13. Now me being 21 she still looked the same after all this time. It wasn't a bad thing, it's just that I expected her to look older.

I walked up slowly and sat down.

Mikoto: Oh how you've grown son.

I felt her hand touch my cheek as I saw a few tears fall out of her eyes.

Itachi: How did you know I was here, mom?

Mikoto: Well your partner came by earlier when your father was not home and told me that you were in the hospital. So I came by and realized you would come to this room after I asked Lady Tsunade.

Itachi: Does father not know I'm here?

She sighed and held my hand tightly. I already knew where this is going.

Mikoto: He didn't want to see you. I really tried to reason with him, but he wouldn't listen, Itachi.

She smiled weakly at me. I got up slowly and walked up to Sasori. My bruised fingers ran through his soft and wavey red hair. He looked so peaceful.

Itachi: I can't force my father to respect me again. After all that happened, he would want me dead rather than alive.

Mikoto: You know that's not true.

Itachi: Tell me, is Sasuke still living with y'all.

My mom fell silent. I already knew the answer.

Itachi: He lives alone now because he didn't want to be reminded of a place filled with hate and misery. Father always wanted us to show our best side and never our imperfections. Anyone would leave a place like that.

Mikoto: I guess you're right. Your father is quite stubborn and controlling, but he cares.

I turned and looked back at her. She held her half-smile before speaking again.

Mikoto: Do you want to go and have some tea with me. It has been a while since we did stuff like that together.

I hesitated but nodded my head as in agreement as we walked out of the room and passed the garden outside. All the rest of the kids were playing together while some nurses watched them. A small smile formed on my lips as I watched them running around and having fun. Kakashi sat on one of the gardens benches and held onto Tobi and Deidara. I guess he finally realized who he was.

We sat down at a picnic table and watched them play around. I held onto a cup of tea that my mother offered me which I didn't see her grab. It was as if she grabbed it from mid-air.
