// Authors POV//
After two weeks, the group of three decided to head back to Konoha and get back to their daily routine. Kisame continued to take his time and train with the Anbu forces while Itachi continued to enjoy his paid leave. He used this to spend more time with Katsumi and plan for the coming wedding. They both decided that three months was enough time to plan things out, but Itachi hated having to choose between all the options. From the decorations to the variety of kimonos that looked way too embroidered for his taste. A long sigh left his lips before he flopped down on the couch and set his planning binder on the coffee table.
"Mommy, they're at the door," Katsumi said as he entered the living room. Itachi was slightly surprised at this and also confused as to who was at the door. He sat up and watched as Deidara, Sasori, Hidan, Iruka, Naruto, Sakura, Ino, and his mother walked into his home. They all looked excited and instantly surrounded him as they grabbed his hand and eyed his engagement ring. A blush of embarrassment formed on Itachi's face while Deidara and his mother smirked.
"I told you he would say yes," Mikoto said to everyone else. Itachi was stunned, to say the least.
"You knew about this mom."
Mikoto nodded and pat Itachi's shoulder as a sign of endearment.
"And now we're here to help you plan this all out because it seems that you can't do this on your own," Deidara said.
Itachi smiled and allowed everyone else to sit around him as they began to choose decorations. Deidara and Sasori on the other hand were raiding the fridge for snacks to have while choosing what flowers would be used at the venue. Itachi really liked the idea of white roses, but choosing white lilies was more tempting. Just the idea of them adorning the venue was enough to make Itachi excited.
However, that soon faded when Sakura pulled out a catalog of Kimono's. Itachi still had not decided what style he wanted to wear.
"What about the silk one, it looks really nice," Sakura said. The others nodded in agreement and Itachi eyed the dress. It was really nice, but he wasn't sure if it would look good on him. Then Sakura took the magazine and flipped the page to one where the other dress was slightly embroiled with designs made from lace.
Lace. . . .
"Yeah no, I don't know about that one," Itachi said as a memory flooded his mind. Such an indecent memory that made him blush on the spot which caught the attention of Deidara from the kitchen as he strode over with Sasori. He had a spoon stuck into a small pint of ice cream while he twirled it around mindlessly, but Sasori knew that Deidara had something running in his mind.
"Lace huh? Say, Itachi did you put that outfit I gave you to good use?"
Everyone in the room looked at Itachi in confusion as he blushed profusely at the mention of it. A prominent glare was present on his face, but that didn't seem to intimidate anyone as they pressed him for answers. Even his mother was among them trying to figure out what he was talking about which made Itachi so embarrassed.
"I- No we didn't use it anyway. It was cheap material and it tore," Itachi said in a rushed voice.
"Tore? I thought you said you didn't wear it. Unless. . . . OH MY GOSH!!!"
Itachi regretted even speaking as he grabbed a couch throw pillow and covered his face with it. That's when Deidara began to explain to everyone what he had given Itachi. Left and right the sounds of his friends gasping and "Ooing" embarrassed the Uchiha even more.
"Didn't think you were that freaky, Itachi. Though if you're with Kisame I can definitely see that," Hidan said as he burst out into laughter. Itachi pulled the pillow away from his face before chucking it at Hidan's face. Just the sheer force was enough to make Hidan fall back and out of the chair with a thud.
