/Obito's POV//
Loud explosions and dust lined my view throughout. No matter where you looked, you could see people stacking the corpses of the Zetsu's and mowing them down on the battlefield. While this was all going on, a strange feeling made me worry. I had no idea why, but something wasn't right.
"Sasori, I think we need to draw back a bit" I said. Sasori looked up at me and tossed the Zetsu body aside.
"Why, is something wrong?"
"Well, it just doesn't make any sense, if they waged a war on us then why haven't they shown themselves? I just have this feeling that there is more to all of this." I looked up from the ground and saw Sasori looking at me wearily.
"You're right, let me go and tell the others about this-"
*BOOM!!!*
Sasori stopped mid-sentence and we both looked in the direction of the explosion. The ground all around us began to rumble and the air was filled with sounds of chaos and screaming. Many of the shinobi began to run and stumble in the process. The ground beneath us felt as if it would send us flying through the air.
"What the hell is going on!?!" Sasori and I began running in the opposite direction from the other shinobi and looked on ahead before seeing what made the loud noise. I froze in shock and looked at the large statue emerging from the ground. Madara landed right next to me, and I noticed the frown on his face. I knew we had the same thought process going on, and it wasn't a good one.
Sasori suddenly gasped and pointed a little further behind the statue. I squinted my eyes to get a better look through the glaring sunlight and my eyes widened. The woman we had been looking for all this time was standing there. Her face was covered with a black mask and the outfit she wore was a full black outfit that was almost similar to mine. I couldn't see her face, but I knew a menacing aura radiated off of her. She had two fingers up right in front of her which signaled the release of the Gedo statue. Her hand slowly lowered, and the statue let out a loud screech which made us cover our ears. Madara cleaned the bodily fluids off his weapon and held it to his side.
"The guy isn't with her. . ." Madara clutched his katana tightly in one hand and looked at me along with Sasori. We were conflicted on what to do in this situation. All we could do was try and fight this woman who we know nothing about.
Madara and I ran towards the Gedo statue but soon noticed that the woman was gone. As soon as she vanished, I ended up feeling a strong presence behind me. I quickly turned my head and was met with a hard kick to the side before being knocked down to the ground. It almost felt as if I broke a rib. It had been so long since someone had actually managed to hurt me in any way since I use my Sharingan, only, she was extremely fast. Though, she wasn't fast enough since Madara managed to fight against her. She did seem like she was extremely skilled and possibly had a lot of training, but her fighting style lacked any actual reason to fight. She was fighting us to tire us out, but Madara was too caught up in the fight to actually see it.
The others began to come and soon it was an all-out battle against this one woman and the Gedo statue that she controlled. No one would seem to land one hit on her and the ground all around continued to rumble beneath our feet. She had some sort of power that sent shockwaves all around and I could see some of the others struggling to stay upright. Sai flew right above the whole battlefield, and he would scoop up anyone who was in the path of any danger. The statue tried to swat him multiple times, but he would only dodge it as a way of avoiding the strike. I saw Sasori getting lifted up as he held his bleeding head. I'm assuming he didn't manage to avoid falling over. Sakura was on the same scroll beast as him and tried healing up the wound. Everyone was doing the best they could, but she wasn't giving in and continued her assault.
