//Itachi's POV//

My hands slowly found themselves gripping on tighter to Katsumi as we walked through the village of the hidden mist's vast shops and vendor stands. Kisame stood right next to me trying to assure me that everything would be fine and that the location of the home would be close by. Though, even after he said this I was still feeling ever so uncomfortable with the new location.

Sure, I'd been to Kirigakure multiple times while on duty as an Anbu and as a member of the Akatsuki, but this was a whole new different experience considering that our child was with us. I really didn't want anything bad to happen, and just the thought had been raiding my mind for the past week after we planned the trip. I really didn't want my offish mood to make Kisame and Katsumi upset as well so I just ended up keeping it to myself.

"The docking area should be right around here. Just make sure you don't fall overboard, or else the piranhas might eat you," Kisame said in a playful tone. I followed where his eyes were staring and saw how he was directing them towards Katsumi. Katsumi huffed and jumped in front of him with a big grin on his face. "I'm not scared of anything," he yelled out. Kisame quickly scooped him up and placed him on his shoulders as we continued to walk.

"Well, I'm sure you're not, but I don't think someone over here would be too happy about their son turning into fish food," he said while continuing to maintain that playful tone. I laughed a bit as Kisame continued to tease Katsumi before we reached the dock and boarded a small wooden boat. The woman operating it smiled and asked where we were heading to which Kisame handed the coordinates to some location. Her eyes widened and she looked a bit shocked, to say the least.

"Ya own that place?!" Kisame nodded as her eyes brightened with excitement.

"That's so cool. I'd always wondered whose place that was every time I passed by on my trips."

"Well, it was one of my childhood homes, and I guess it was time I brought my family to see it," Kisame said. The woman turned to me and gave me a playful smirk which didn't seem to have any ill intent, but made me realize what she was getting at. A slight blush covered my cheeks as I looked away and stared at the ripples in the misty water that soon began to clear up the farther we went. That's when the slight dimness in the sky also began to fade and that grey hue turned into a beautiful bright blue. The sun was shining brightly, and the salty smell of the sea finally began to hit my nose.

"Oh my," I said feeling quite stunned at the sight. From all the times I'd visited Kirigakure, I had never seen it looking like this before. Kisame and the woman simply laughed at me and Katsumi's excitement/amazement.

"Based on your expression, I can tell you aren't exactly from here," she said. I nodded as I continued to look at the different surrounding islands and coral reefs beneath us.

"Yeah, you don't really get any sight like this back in Konoha aside from vast forests and hills," I said while laughing a bit.

"Well, I'm glad you like it, because the place you're staying at is honestly one of the most beautiful places here even from afar." I quirked my brow a bit and looked at Kisame who smiled down at me and nodded. He pointed in some direction behind me before I turned around and saw that they both weren't lying to me.

The boat slowly stopped near the sandy shore of a small island where a beach house stood in all its might. String lights hung on the roof of the outside patio and many different palm trees littered the island.

I grabbed a hold of Katsumi's hand and walked through the water before nearing the patio of the place. Kisame was a bit behind as he grabbed our things off the boat and paid the woman who soon left. My eyes were wide as they settled on the sights all around me. Being too mesmerized, I didn't even notice Kisame sneak up behind me until his arms wrapped around my waist.
