//Author's POV//

One Week. . . .

It was only one more week before the wedding. Everything was all set and Itachi finally managed the stress he was feeling the whole time from planning, but something was wrong with the Uchiha. Itachi could feel it but couldn't tell exactly what it was. There only seemed to be so much his mind could take before he brought his knees to his chest and cried into them. He had no idea why he felt so awful when he should be happy at the moment.

Kisame on the other hand slightly stirred in bed and noticed that Itachi was no longer lying next to him. His spot on his side was also pretty cold which instantly sent warning signals to his head. He quickly sat up and looked over at the dark bathroom indicating that the other wasn't in there. He then headed to Katsumi's room only to see the other sound asleep while clutching his stuffed otter. Kisame smiled slightly at this but remembered what he was doing before heading downstairs and searching for Itachi anywhere in the house. That's when panic began to set in as he looked all over the place and couldn't find him.

Then the memory of Itachi's favorite spot out of the whole place led him to a sobbing Itachi sitting under the tree in their backyard. He slowly approached and sat right next to him which startled Itachi.

"Kisa-"

"It's okay," Kisame said before grabbing him and sitting him on his lap. Itachi's back was firmly pressed on his chest as the silence between them continued. Ever so often Itachi would sniffle and Kisame would bring his hand down to his slightly shaking shoulder to comfort him. Kisame knew what Itachi was feeling, even if the other hadn't said a thing to him. He too was feeling jitters about the whole thing even if he didn't want to admit it to himself. So all he could really do was sit outside with his future husband and try to comfort him to the best of his abilities. After all, Kisame wasn't good at showing his emotions.

"I am sorry about all of this. I just don't know what's wrong with me and I really did try to calm my stress levels but it just all feels foreign to me. Makes me really want to vomit from all these clustered feelings."

Kisame slightly raised a brow and tilted his head to the side to look at Itachi. Sure enough, Itachi looked visibly distressed and ready to vomit if he was pushed any further into his thoughts. He made sure to relax him a bit more before finally speaking.

"Look, I think what you're feeling right now are jitters. You're anxious about getting married and I can understand why. It is a really big thing to do, especially now when it involves having everyone stare at you for being the center of attention, but once it's over you'll feel much better."

Itachi cried a bit more and tried relaxing to the gentle touches while the other stroked his hair. Itachi curled himself into Kisame's lap even more, the warmth giving him a sense of comfort and assuring him that he would be okay.

"Can we stay like this a bit longer?" Itachi asked quietly. Kisame let out a quiet laugh and wrapped his arms around the curled-up figure in his lap. There was an ever-so-slight breeze passing through the air which sent chills throughout Itachi's body. He curled up further against Kisame and relaxed at the sound of his breathing. They sat there for a couple more minutes before Kisame looked down and noticed Itachi was sleeping soundly against his chest. He sighed at the sight and stood up while holding Itachi and carried him back inside. Itachi stirred in his arms and rubbed his heavy eyes; looking up at Kisame who shook his head in amusement before setting him down on the couch and heading back to the kitchen. Itachi sat up and peeked from the couch at Kisame grabbing the kettle, adding water, and letting it boil.

A small smile lined Itachi's lips before Kisame turned around and noticed the sweet expression on his face. He walked back over to the living room and sat down next to Itachi who was just happy that the nerve-wracking feelings from earlier had settled down. Though, that peace and quiet was disrupted when Itachi's stomach growled which caused him to blush and look away in embarrassment. "Are you hungry? I can make you something," Kisame said. Itachi shook his head and placed his hand over his stomach.
