(Yui's POV)

Yui: How much longer do you think we have to stay here.

I turned my head to face Madara as he groaned and laid his head back. We were currently sitting on the sofa while Katsumi slept in his room.

Madara: Soon, because I don't think I can handle another day.

Itachi had sent us a messenger crow and told us that they would take a bit longer to get back to Konoha for personal reasons. He didn't really specify, but I know Kisame probably did something to make him mad. I didn't have the slightest idea why they got a kid if they couldn't even manage their own issues first.

Madara: What goes on inside that head of yours?

I sighed and looked at the idiot next to me. He smiled tiredly at me as I knocked his head lightly.

Yui: A lot of things that a guy like you wouldn't understand.

I stood up and went upstairs to check on Katsumi. He was sound asleep. I could feel a smile form on my face. Itachi was lucky indeed to have such a child.

I carefully shut the door before heading back downstairs. Taking one peek at the couch I could see that Madara was already sound asleep as well, only now, he didn't look as tense as usual. His face was relaxed. I grabbed a folded blanket from the closet and draped it over him before hopping on my side of the couch and trying to dozing off myself.

Yui: Who is dumb enough to sleep without a blanket. That's how you get sick.

(Author's POV)

It was the next day, Itachi and Kisame started gathering their belonging from the cottage before heading out and towards the path of Konoha. Throughout the journey, no words were exchanged. No breaks were taken as Itachi wanted to get home as soon as possible to Katsumi. The only sound being made was their shoes touching the ground as they sprinted through the area and on top of trees.

This time Itachi was leading the way since he didn't want to get lost again. It was also the fact that he didn't want to look Kisame in the eye.

Itachi could still remember what Haru had told him, and it never left his mind for one second. It still hurt deeply that Kisame failed to mention any of those things to him. To him, it seemed like Kisame never acknowledged anything he did wrong, but at the same time, Itachi felt like he was also in the wrong. Kisame had asked him to never pry in anything personal and yet he asked him those questions last night. Though, something else stuck in his mind. He wanted to know what happened which resulted in Kisame and Haru not getting married in the end.

By the time they made it home, it was already mid-day. Katsumi was outside playing in the backyard with Yui who for some reason was dressed up like some bandit. Itachi smiled at the sight and then turned his attention to Madara who was laying under the tree sleeping.

Katsumi: MOMMY!!!!

Yui stopped and saw Itachi before collapsing on the floor in exhaustion. Itachi walked up to Katsumi and picked him up before walking over to Yui and helping him up.

Yui: Never leave for such a long time again. I could barely handle it all with Madara over there sleeping his ass off.

Yui turned and glared at Madara who was already starting to stretch.

Itachi: I'm sorry, we just had a difficult time.

Yui: I know, only you wouldn't be dumb enough to leave your child for such a long time, but it seems that you are actually.

Itachi shook his head in amusement and looked at Madara.

Itachi: I hope you didn't bring any women into my home, I wouldn't want to find anything signaling a possible "sleepover".
