(Sasuke's POV)

The sound of knocking woke me up from my sleep. I got up groaning and opened the door only to come face to face with Sakura.

Sasuke: It's too damn early in the morning for you to come out here and bother me. What do you want?

Sakura: It's about Itachi. . .

I contorted my face in confusion. What in the world is so important about Itachi that I had to know.

Sasuke: What about Itachi-

Sakura: No time to explain. Get ready and come with me!

She slammed the door in my face and yelled from the other side making me hurry up. Damn, she's annoying. (No hate to my girl Sakura😁)

Grabbing whatever was clean I ran out the door and followed Sakura to the Hokage's office.

(In the Hokage's office)

The mood in the Hokage's office was dark. Everyone was on edge. Kisame was sitting across the room with his head in his hands. Shizune was trying to comfort him. I had no clue why.

Sasuke: Why was I called?

Tsunade threw a small scroll in my direction. I caught it and read what information the scroll contained.

Sasuke: What does this mean? What happened?

Tsunade: I have reason to believe that Itachi is being held against his will. Someone has taken him from the Akatsuki base after attacking.

Sasuke: And what exactly does this have to do with me?!

Lady Tsunade sighed while leaning back in her chair while crossing her arms.

Tsunade: Listen, I know you hate your brother, but right now he could be in danger.

Sasuke: How exactly do you know that they took him, this could just be a prank-

Kisame: IT'S NOT-

Tsunade: Calm down, Kisame!!!

I turned and looked at Itachi's partner. He seemed angry and in distress. Why is he so fixated on my brother?

Tsunade: I know that this is quite a real threat because that scroll came with 6 of the Akatsuki children. They came here baldly injured and sick. One suffered a concussion and bruised back. Most of them were badly injured on their feet, they carried the little boy Sasori here because he was knocked unconscious.

My eyes widened in shock. Itachi would never let kids run freely in that condition. Sure I hated him, but he is still my brother, and I know good and well that he wouldn't do anything to hurt children. Whoever did this did it for a reason?

Sasuke: So what do you want us to do Lady Tsunade?

Tsunade: I want team 7 along with Kisame to find and rescue Itachi, he is still part of the Hidden Leaf village. Nothing must happen to him.
Now, according to information that Kisame has given me, the people who may have taken him are some swordsmen of the mist. We've gained access to the land and are allowed to enter Kirigakure territory. The only issue is that Itachi may
already be. . . . . dead.
