True Feelings (M)

(Itachi's POV)

I don't remember much after going to sleep last night. All I remember was waking up and finding myself alone. Kisame had stepped out that morning to go get food because when he came back he had fish tied up to a fishing line. I immediatly got up and held the blanket close. He paused for a second before walking out again. I looked down at myself and shook my head in disappointment. I couldn't believe I acted like a child all this time and allowed my jealously to take me over.

Quickly getting up I got dressed and stepped out to see Kisame de-scaling the fish. Of course I got worried because it would mean he went out early with his injuries.

Itachi: Kisame, let me do that. You rest.

I tried taking the knife he was using, but he shook his head and moved it away from me.

Kisame: It's the least I could do after risking you getting hurt last night.

(Author's POV)

Itachi's expression stayed concerned as he bit his lip and crossed his arms. Kisame smirked a bit at the pose Itachi had going on. He looked up and examined him before pointing at a small empty pale.

Kisame: If you wanna help, go collect some clean water.

Itachi looked at the pale and picked it up before slowly walking away towards the river close by.

When he got there, he noticed the spot where Kisame probaby fished at earlier. He set the bucket down and sat on the ground before taking a few glances at the sky. It wasn't everyday Itachi could be off guard and think about normal things. He felt at peace which wasn't something he could feel quite often, but that thought was shattered when he remembered the chaos that surrounded him and his life.

Itachi knew he needed to figure out and capture the person trying so hard to make things difficult for him and the village.

Kisame: I was wondering what was taking you so long.

Itachi jumped a bit before looking up only to see Kisame smiling down at him.

Itachi: Sorry, I got distracted.

He quickly grabbed the pale and dunked it into the water before standing up.

Itachi: Lets go.

Kisame had a look on his face that was concerned, but he brushed off the expression as Itachi passed by. They ended up going back and fixing up their food before eating.

(Time Skip- Sakura's POV)

Sakura: WILL YOU KNOCK IT OFF!!

Naruto froze in place and slowly turned his body to meet my gaze. This idiot really won't listen.

Sasuke: Just listen to her, dobe.

Naruto: But I'm all better now, why do I need another check up. Why don't you go bother Hidan or something?

Sakura: Cause Hidan is all better now. His voice is back and he is thriving unlike you who still can barely walk right.

Naruto groaned and complained as Sasuke helped him sit back down on the bed. I only came by to examine his movement, but it seems like his movement is restricted in some ways which is odd. He should have healed already. It was probably due to the amount of chakra they took.

Sasuke: Is that all or are you just gonna keep standing there?

I placed my attention on Sasuke who looked bored as always.

Sakura: Yeah, I'm out. Just make sure he doesn't do anything stupid or I'll kill you both.

I headed out the apartment and towards the Hokage tower. That's until I saw the riverbank close by and decided to take a break.
