The Problem ⚠️

Kisame and Itachi we're currently a mile away from the Akatsuki hide out. The night had a feeling summer, and a slight chill, but overall it was great. Everything seemed to be perfect in Kisame's eyes, he sought out Itachi's feelings of the night. In return, he only got a blank stare before his partner looked ahead the rest of the way.

Itachi was not the type to be open about expressing his feelings to other members. He didn't really show any emotion at all when it came to any matters. Kisame on the other hand was lucky once in a while to be able to witness a few frowns when Itachi was thinking, but overall that was it. You really couldn't catch Itachi slipping on his personality. Plain old Itachi would be seen with dango in one hand, and a kunai in the other. Books were something that he kept in his cloak. Weapons weren't a concern for him either as he mostly relied on the sharingan. He HAD a katana when he first joined the Akatsuki, but Hidan and Deidara broke it one night while betting it on a game of Uno. Itachi never found it after that night.

Kisame could almost recall how angry the Uchiha had gotten after figuring out that they had lost it. And to be honest, Kisame didn't blame him. Most of the Akatsuki memebers aside from leader-sama, Konan, Sasori, and Kakuzu, acted like spoiled children who lacked an ounce of disipline.

"Say, Itachi-san, have you ever considered habing children?" Kisame suddenly asked. It didn't sound like an attempted tease or taunt based on his tone, but the question never failed to surprise Itachi just a bit as his brow furrowed.

Itachi never considered that kind of thing at all, but then again, he never even planned on living past his 20s. Not when he had something to fullfill before his long awaited death. And a part of him was sure he had explained this to Kisame, so why was the man asking such an impudent question.

Still, Itachi never actually responded and just kept walking. A light breeze fluttering thought his hair.

The base came into view and Kisame inwardly sighed. He knew based on mission schedules that everyone was most likely back by now. And that meant a headache to deal with when they got closer

Soon they were now at the entrance of the hide out when they could hear laughter and yelling. Both did not have the patients to deal with any of the members since it was 10pm and really dark. They were worn out from the mission they had arrived from. Sunagakure was all windy and filled with sand which ended up making both of them look dusty. And even worse, they didn't make any stops when they finished their mission. They both just really wanted to get home and rest.

Walking in they were greeted by Hidan's loud yelling and Tobi practically glued onto Deidara.

Hidan: y'all arrived just in time for our little celebration.

Kisame quirked his brow in a bit of confusion. After all, the Akatsuki weren't really known for celebrating things.

Kisame: What exactly are y'all celebrating?

Hidan: Pain and Konan are out for two weeks on official business. That means no missions.

Kisame was relieved that there were no missions, but he knew that meant things were about to get crazy. Itachi had the right idea of completely ignoring everyone and walking to the room they both shared. Kisame soon followed behind him before they got cleaned up and relaxed. Itachi was asleep by the time Kisame finished in the shower. He did usually retire earily which never surprised the Kiri-nin, so Kisame went to the balcony of the room and watched the stars in the night. He wasn't really a sentimental person, but today was a different day. What could possibly go wrong?

Though, one thing did come to mind... Konan and Pain were only going to be gone for a few days. The others would most likely get a bit crazy and try to spend all of the group funds. Now that did concern Kisame since money was a little tight for the organization at the moment.
