(Itachi's POV)

The morning was more stressful than I suspected it would be. I had to make sure every single mouth was fed and bathed. Hidan kept shrieking at the top of his lungs, and the others kept complaining about the food. It was only 7 am, Kisame was still asleep, surprisingly.

As I turned to wash the dishes I used to cook, I felt something thrown at me. Slowly putting my fingers on the substance I could tell it was apple sauce.

Itachi: now, which one of y'all threw it.

In response, a few giggles were let out. Tobi seemed to be the one who did it which is not surprising at all.

Itachi: Tobi, if you throw food again, I'll make sure you don't get any snacks later.

Tobi: but Tobi did not do it.

Obviously, Tobi did it, but I didn't want him to be upset. So I picked him up from the tiny chair that I got earlier in the morning and carried him. He cried a bit on my shoulder, and when I least expected it he put his tiny mouth close to my ear and whispered:

Tobi: me sowy mommy.

I've been called mommy all morning, So I've gotten quite used to it.

Itachi: it's fine Tobi

{fluffy time skip cuz why not🧍‍♀️}

Breakfast was over and the little ones were all playing with some blocks when I suddenly noticed one of the children was missing.

Itachi: Zetsu, where are you? Zetsu?.........

(Authors POV)

Meanwhile, upstairs little patting feet on the floor was all that could be heard. A smol bean named Zetsu was wandering around the halls. Somehow he managed to climb the stairs himself and find the room Itachi and Kisame shared.
Slowly creeping up to a bed he saw the one and only Kisame sleeping.

Zetsu: *whispering* daddy.

Kisame had not heard him so he spoke a bit louder.

Zetsu: daddy are you dwed?

Becoming impatient, Zetsu climbed on the bed with a struggle.
Soon he was sitting on his chest and punching it with his little fist. Kisame opened one eye to see an angry and frustrated mini Zetsu.

Kisame: what is it pipsqueak?

Kisame slowly sat up and held Zetsu in place.

Zetsu: come and pway with mommy and me.

Assuming he was talking about Itachi, he got ready and headed downstairs with Zetsu.

(Kisame's POV)
Making it downstairs I heard the sound of giggling. There on the floor, I witnessed the toddlers building block towers while Deidara made a very bad attempt to braid Itachi's long hair. Tobi and Sasori were drawing what seemed to be self-portraits.

Kisame: what seems to be going on in here, Itachi-san?

He opened one eye and turned his head a bit to look at me. I put Zetsu down and sat beside him on the floor.

Itachi: I need to go and pick up some stuff from a town nearby. I've already got a few things, but I still need to get a bit more clothing.

Itachi then turned away from me and closed his eyes again. Somehow the lighting in the room made him look...ethereal. Soft pale skin to go with long black eyelashes and long black hair...Wait why am I thinking this? Considering Itachi is 22, he is pretty attractive, his features are quite feminine, but he doesn't seem to care. I feel as if that's the reason they keep calling him mommy.

{time skip} (Itachi's POV)

I was at the entrance of the hideout and ready to leave when I felt a tug on my plain black cloak. You see I didn't want to attract attention. Well anyways, I looked down and saw Sasori looking up at me.

Sasori: Can I go with Mommy

I looked around and saw Kisame looking directly across from me.

Itachi: yes, that's fine.

I helped him put on his new shoes and he waved Kisame goodbye.

Sasori: bye-bye daddy!

Kisame just nodded as we headed out.

It had been 20 minutes since we began walking and I could already see the little village and market up ahead. I made sure to hold onto Sasori's hand tightly.
We shopped for clothing, toys, food, blankets, towels, and some children's soap that just smelt nice. Now to carry all of it, I placed them all in a scroll and made our way back.

While walking I felt something familiar, or should I say someone familiar. My heart raced slightly and my hands felt clammy. Suddenly, someone jumped out of nowhere and tried to stab me. I quickly grabbed Sasori and held him close, making sure his face was against my chest. Little whimpers escaped his mouth as I felt his tears soak my cloak. Right in front of me, I saw none other than Sasuke himself. He was more than ready to kill me.
He lunges at me and ends up trying to stab me. All I did was dodge because I had Sasori in my arms. Activating my Sharingan would make the problem bigger and possibly attract more people. I was ready to escape when suddenly I tripped over my own feet and fell backward. I didn't know what to do anymore so I had no choice. (Btw in this story, Sasuke never leaves Konoha)

Itachi: SASUKE STOP!!!

He froze in his tracks and finally acknowledged the child in my arms. Sasori somehow managed to get out of my arms and stood right in front of me.

Sasori: NO, stop it, don't hurt mommy!
