Sasuke's Resolve

Sasuke to say the least looked at Sasori stunned. He didn't understand why this little kid called Itachi "mommy" or even why Itachi had a child with him. On top of that, he didn't understand why Itachi was trying to defend him and not fight back.

Deactivating his Sharingan, Sasuke kept pointing his katana at Itachi and the strange red-headed kid. Sasuke then ordered him to stand up and walk to where ever he came from.

The walk to the Akatsuki hideout was awkward for Itachi. The fact that he had to act weak just to let his younger brother spare him made his brain scream at him, but he had to do whatever to defend Sasori or he would be dead by now.
He wasn't really planning on dying in the hands of him either. You see, Itachi got added to the bingo book because people believed he killed his friend Uchiha Shisui. That though was not how things went. Only a select few knew what happened. The Hokages knew what happened, but used the "crime" as a way to spy on the Akatsuki. The Akatsuki were people who were kicked out of their respective villages for crimes. Their jobs only included killing higher-ups who were targeted by others and those people paid Akatsuki members to kill them. Itachi hated the fact of killing people whom he didn't know or hated killing the innocent. So to get away with not killing in certain situations, he would go to a local Dango shop and stay there until the mission was over, or he would simply act sick. Obviously, Kisame wouldn't fall for the act, but he supported his partner's ideals. Kisame knew about Itachi being a spy in the Akatsuki, but he promised to carry that secret to his grave.
Sasuke only hated Itachi for leaving him behind and apparently going to the bad side.

As the walk continued, the three of them finally made it to a hideout deep in the woods where no one could find it.

Itachi: Sasuke, put the katana down, I have children inside, and I wouldn't want to kill my little brother for attacking me in front of them.

Sasuke let out a "tch" before placing his katana back into its case. Sasori was peeking through Itachi's hair and trying to look at Sasuke. With a little glare and a small pouting mouth, Sasori stuck his tongue out at Sasuke. Sasuke annoyed by the action of the kid ended up activating his Sharingan. Sasori hid again to avoid getting Sasuke mad at him even more.

Opening the entrance to the hideout, Sasuke could already hear the sound of kids screaming and playing. The sight of the living room was a big shocker. A guy who was in the living room watching the kids had turned to him and immediately pulled out a strange weapon. Sasori quickly climbed out of Itachi's arms and waddled to the other kids and watched.

Sasuke and Kisame charged at each other with killing intent, but before they could clash with each other weapons, Itachi jumped in between and stopped both weapons. The spikes of Samehada and Sasuke's katana punctured right into both of his palms making blood trickle down his forearms. Samehada was sucking his chakra out which made him feel weak. Instantly, Kisame pulled his weapon away as well as Sasuke and backed away. The toddlers watched in horror as this all went on. Tobi instantly ran to Itachi and cried on his chest asking if he was ok. Kisame stood shocked at the fact that he had just hurt his partner and friend. Sasuke stood in his position feeling a bit of guilt. He'd just hurt his brother in front of toddlers without thinking what the little ones felt. Kisame instantly knelt to examine Itachi's palms. Itachi feeling weak, laid against Kisame's chest with half-lidded eyes. Who knew Kisame's samehada could take so much chakra from him in such little time.
A tiny Deidara waddled over and asked:
Deidara: daddy, is mommy gonna die?
While asking this, Deidara's eyes welled up with tears. The other little one's waited expectantly for an answer.
Kisame: no, he will be fine. Things like this don't take him out like that easily.
He turned to Sasuke and glared. Sasuke understood the situation that was going on and apologized for causing a scene and simply walked out. Sasuke decided to wait for a different chance and attack Itachi. Today was just not his day to do it.
