After she woke up, Arche never let her leave his side and so Freya is now lying down on the small bed in Arche's office as he went through the documents in his hands. Freya didn't want to disturb him so she kept silent and organized her thoughts.

The assassination attempt wasn't anything new, a lot of people wants her dead, including her people. However, Arche treasures her a lot so the assassins were always dead before they could touch a single strand of hair on her.

That day was a special case, the assassin was an insider, a trusted maid that was bribed after working in the palace for 7 years. The poison won't work on demons but it was especially effective towards angels. Having angel blood running in her veins didn't help her at all.

Ah, right! What type of attribute did she have? This was a fantasy novel after all, there was magic. Freya closed her eyes and recalled. She was lucky to have photogenic memory so she confirmed that it had something to do with healing.

The main focus of the novel was the main character so there weren't any details. She sighed and got up into a sitting position. It would've been better if it wasn't healing but a fighting attribute like Arche.

She glanced at her working father and curiously walked over. She was bored after sorting everything out. Arche chuckled at his daughter's cute appearance and picked her up.

"Is our little princess bored?" Arche sat Freya on his lap and continued to skim through the documents.

"....a little."

Arche cocked his finger and a few books flew towards them from the bookshelf. The books floated in front of her, she knew it was for her to choose from. Are these books even suitable for children?

"Daddy only has these right now, we can get a picture book at the library together later." Arche patted her head.

Freya didn't mind at all, she already knew how to read anyways. If she substitutes the alphabets from her previous world with the ones here, it's actually quite similar.

She didn't insist on going to the library alone because she knew the staff were getting inspected thoroughly. The assassination was probably the last straw for Arche.

She chose the book with [Isis's Laws of The Quantum World]. Compared to an assassin, she would prefer to be a scientist if she had the choice. She started reading with interest.

"Sire, his highness Luca is here." The butler informed them from the other side of the door.

The teenager with long flowing purple hair and ruby red eyes entered the room. His cold eyes softened as soon as his eyes laid upon Freya, the feeling of relief surged in him.

"Brother Luca!" Freya beamed seeing the boy. Arche let her down as she rushed over and hugged Luca.

Though she called him brother, he was her cousin. Arche has an elder brother, Andrew Nolan Laphinia who's Luca's father. Andrew ruled the west.

The demon kings are decided solely on strength, it had nothing to do with bloodline. Every 100 years, the fight for the throne will commence. The strongest victor from the fight will have the right to challenge the king, whoever wins will sit on the throne. The commands of the demon kings are absolute.

Luca effortlessly picked her up, he was fifteen this year. The large age gap between them didn't make them feel distant, instead it made Luca dote on this little cousin of his even more. They were like siblings.

"My cute Yaya, I'm so glad you're fine." He pressed his forehead against hers. "Do you know how worried I was when you won't wake up?"

Freya smiled and said nothing. She still remembered how excruciating the poison felt on her five year old body. In the first place, being able to wake up was a miracle.

"Uncle, father is holding a banquet next week. He's wondering whether you'll be coming or not." Luca turned to Arche. The two brothers were on good terms.

"I will excuse myself this time. Freya can't be alone for the time being." Arche replied with no hesitation as Luca nodded along.

"I'll inform my father. Yaya's magic test will be the day after tomorrow...will you let her go?"

Freya stopped braiding Luca's hair as her eyes widened in surprise. How come she never heard of it? No one told her! It's a chance to verify her powers.

"I want to go!" She chimed with much enthusiasm.

Before getting her memories, magic was normal but now, magic is something she never had before. She couldn't help but feel excited. Recalling how there was only one moon in her previous world, she couldn't help but feel the four moons here are special.

"You just woke up this morning." Arche furrowed his brows. "Does it not hurt anymore? It's better to rest. You have to recover first so the results won't be affected. Freya doesn't want a lousy result, does she?"

Freya knew this long sentence was just to coax her, the whole thing can be summarized into one word, no. But there's no way she's backing down on a clue, this power might determine her plans to protect her father.

"But...Freya wants to know her powers." Her eyes gradually got teary. Added with the glaze of tears, her aquamarine eyes made people feel like they're staring into a clear river.

"Don't cry, don't cry." Luca quickly patted her back with his free hand. Freya's arms around his neck tightened as tears trickled down her face, she held the expression of a dejected puppy.

She wasn't an assassin for nothing, though she frequented snipers and guns but there were still times she had to seduce her way through. She acted as a pitiful drunk pianist, a model going to the wrong room and many more. She never sold her body for work, at most it was wearing revealing clothing.

Freya heard Arche sighed, "...I'll have the examiners come to the palace."

Her eyes shined as she looked up, "Really? Daddy promised! No take backs! Brother Luca is the witness."

Both of them looked at each other helplessly, what can they do when faced with such a cute little thing?
