Allison found herself a few days later in an interrogation room. She shook her head while she sat there. She was waiting on the officers to come in a spew some more bull about her husband so that she could go home. She knew that Happy hadn't killed Damon. She just knew it. He was in another room being questioned. She wasn't about to rat on her husband. Especially to something that he didn't do.
"Mrs. Lowman," an officer walked in.
"Yes," Allison replied.
"We have pictures to show you,"
Allison nodded. The officer slapped the photos down in front of her. She looked at each one of them realizing that they were crime scene photos. She looked at the officer.
"Why would you show me these?" she asked.
"Showing you the handiwork of your husband. So you know just what kind of man that you are married to." the officer replied.
"You really think that I would stay married to a man for this many years and not know who he is?"
"Your husband did this."
"No, he didn't. I know better."
The officer looked irritated. Allison shook her head. She wasn't going to fall for their tricks.
"So you can either let me go or charge me with something," she said.
"We will be sending CPS to take care of the kids." the officer said.
Allison's eyes darkened.
"You are not threatening me with some bull that isn't going to go anywhere. My kids are fine and we don't need anyone to come to the house to check on them. You are threatening the wrong woman," she growled.
The officer stared at her. She glared back at him. She was released. Happy met her in the hallway and pulled her into his arms. He had just been let go as well. She looked up at him and kissed his lips. He smiled down at her.
"Let's go home," she said.
"Sounds good to me," he replied.
They headed out of the station. Allison was sick of them constantly dragging them into the station every time they had convinced themselves that they had something to try to charge Happy with Damon's murder. Happy was beginning to get extremely pissed off about it. They were so focused on him, that they weren't even looking for anyone else. Happy walked his wife to her vehicle. She looked at him and smiled.
"I love you, Happy," she said.
"I love you too babe," he replied.
"I gotta get home to the kids."
"I gotta get to work."
She nodded. He headed off to TM while she went home. Brooke was sitting with the kids. She pulled into the driveway and then headed inside.
"Hey, how did it go?" Brooke asked.
"They thought photos would convince me that he is guilty," she said.
"Do you think he is?"
"No, I think Damon had a lot of enemies."
Brooke nodded. She looked at the kids in the living room. Allison sighed heavily.
"The thing about Damon, is that he always thought he was God's gift to women and that everyone should be at his beck and call. He never liked that Happy had my attention and that I married Happy." Allison said.
"But Happy wouldn't have hurt him?" Brooke asked.
"No, roughed him up maybe but he wouldn't have killed him. I remember the night that all of this happened. Happy had been at TM and when he got off work he headed over to Damon's to talk to him and Damon was dead."
Allison wasn't dumb. She knew what to say and what not to say in case people were ever in a position that they would have to be questioned about her family. She believed Happy when he said that he had arrived at the house and Damon was already dead.
"I know my husband and I know that he didn't kill Damon," she said.
Brooke nodded. Happy came home later. Allison was making dinner. She looked back at Happy as he walked thru the door.
"Hey baby," she said.
"Hey," he replied.
"Any word on anything?"
"The officers in Bakersfield are looking into the murder. I don't know why Charming keeps pulling me and you into the station."
Allison nodded. She continued cooking. Happy smiled at his wife. He didn't murder that man for once so he had a clear head about it all. He went to check on his kids. Mason screeched when he saw him. Happy chuckled. Ryder looked up from the game that he was playing. Noah was next to him staring at the screen. Emersyn ran to Happy and jumped on him. He scooped her up and kissed her head.
"I missed you daddy," she said.
"I missed you too pretty girl," he replied.
"Pretty like mama?"
"Of course. You look just like her."
Emersyn grinned at him. Allison called them all for dinner.
"Dad, where did you and mom go this morning?" Ryder asked.
"Mom and I had to go handle some business this morning, nothing major," Happy replied.
"Dad, a cop showed up at the school with a social worker. They talked to me and Noah."
"Excused me?"
"Noah and I got pulled from class and everything."
Happy looked at his wife.
"What was this officer's name?" Allison asked.
"I think his name was Drake Mikelson," Ryder said.
Allison's face clouded over. She knew exactly who that was. It was the same officer that had been harassing them about the Damon case.
"I will call the school tomorrow and we need to find out where this guy is even from because he is not from Charming," Allison said.
Happy nodded. He was pissed that this was happening. The name sounded familiar but they hadn't been able to place it yet.
"Ally, I know why we know the name," he said, after the kids were in bed.
"Why?" she asked.
"You remember that asshole that Damon ran around with in high school?"
"Kinda?"
"His name was Drake Mikelson."
"What the hell?"
Happy nodded. He was going to be calling the attorney in the morning. He was done with the harassment from this officer. He pulled Allison into his arms as they lay in bed. She snuggled up closer to him as they went to sleep.
