Friday arrived quickly and Happy headed for his mother's house. He just wanted his family close as he waited for the results that would end his marriage. He used the ride to his mother's to do a lot of thinking. He couldn't lose his wife. He needed her in his life. She kept him grounded.

"Daddy," Emersyn ran out the front door to greet him.

He caught her and carried her into the house. She wrapped her little arms around his neck and held on tightly. He kissed her cheek. She giggled.

"Hey dad," Ryder looked up at him.

"Hey big man," Happy said.

"Mom ain't here."

"What do you mean your mom ain't here?"

Elena entered the living room. She saw the look on her son's face.

"Ma, where is my wife?" he asked.

"She is out with Angela doing the grocery shopping," Elena replied.

"Oh."

"Happy, why do you always think the worst of that girl?"

"I don't think the worst. Ma, I'm scared someone else is gonna come along and I'm gonna lose her."

"Just that asshole Damon."

Happy growled. Elena chuckled at her son. She knew he wasn't happy about Damon. She didn't like the man either as she believed that he had ulterior motives when it came to her daughter in law.

The front door opened. Allison and Angela walked in the house. They were laughing about something. She stopped when she saw Happy. He looked at them.

"Hey," she smiled.

"Hey," he kissed her cheek.

"How was the drive?"

"It was good."

Allison looked happier than he had seen her in months. She had her long blonde hair pulled up in a pony tail.

He had to admit she looked amazing right then. She carried the bags into the kitchen.

"How was shopping dear?" his aunt Rosa asked.

"Hilarious. Al got hit on, mama," his cousin said.

"Still got it huh?"

Allison rolled her eyes. Happy froze in the doorway. She glanced at him. He stared at her.

"He was some kid in high school," she said.

"The bag boy at the grocery." Angela chuckled.

"He was like fifteen."

Happy shook his head. The four ladies got started on dinner. Happy settled in to be with his kids. Mason was sitting in his lap. Emersyn was next to him. He had cartoons on the television for the kids. Allison came out of the kitchen at Elena's insistence that she speak to Happy.

"Hap, got a minute?" she asked.

"Yeah, sure babe." he moved Mason to the floor and got up.

They walked outside together. She smiled at him.

"Why do you look scared?" she asked.

"Because I am," he replied.

"You don't need to be. I still haven't done anything other than a consult on the divorce."

"I thought you were gonna file?"

She shrugged. He looked at her for a moment. She sighed.

"Do you have any idea how hard it is to let go of all of this?" she asked.

"I don't want to let go of this," he said.

"The boys are ready to come home. I know after the other night, Emersyn is beyond ready to go home after the other night."

"So y'all are coming home?"

She nodded. He smiled. She looked at him.

"I don't have the results from the baby yet," he said.

"I know. It's all right," she replied.

"Really?"

"Look I've been doing a lot of thinking and a lot of talking to your mom, your aunt, and your cousin."

"Yeah?"

"I want to see how it works being back at home. Just take it day by day for a while."

"All right."

"I do not want back in on the club dinners and shit right now. I don't even want them to know that we are home right now."

Happy nodded. She glanced at him and smiled.

"I love you, Hap," she said.

"I love you too," he replied.

His phone went off. He answered it.

"Hello," he said.

"Hap, she left the baby," Tara said.

"What are you talking about?"

"I went in to check on Lyssa and talk about discharge. She is gone."

"I don't even know if the kid is mine or not. I don't know what to tell y'all right now."

"Can you call her?"

"No, I am not calling her. If she chose to walk out, that's on her. As soon as the results are back, I will deal with it all."

He got off the phone. Tara promised to keep an eye on the baby until they could get it all sorted out. Allison looked at him with genuine concern.

"What's going on?" she asked.

"I guess Lyssa left the baby at the hospital," he said.

"Seriously?"

He nodded. She shook her head.

"All that shit she talked and she couldn't hack it for like two days," she said.

He shrugged.

"I guess I gotta deal with it when I get home," he said.

She nodded. He didn't know what to do about all this. She watched him run his hand across his head. She reached over and grabbed his hand.

"Listen to me, if this baby is yours, you will do what you need to do for her. You are an amazing father to our babies and you can do it with this one," she said.

He squeezed her hand and smiled at her.

"What do I do when we go on runs and shit?" he asked.

"We will figure that out when it comes down to it," she said.

"Why are you so good to me?"

"Honestly, I don't know."

He chuckled and leaned over to kiss her cheek. She sighed.

"Hap, Al, dinner is done," Angela said.

They got up and headed into the house. She made sure that her kids were eating.

Sunday arrived quickly and they all packed up to head back to Charming.

"Ryder, you got everything?" Happy asked.

"Yeah dad," he said.

"All right, let's go."

They headed out to the car. Allison drove back to Charming with her children. It was so weird to be back here but it was for the best for her children.
