Happy headed to the clubhouse the next morning after dropping Noah and Ryder at school. He had Rat with his wife and the other kids. He worried majority of the day. It had taken him a long time to calm his wife the night before. The one thing Allison always prided herself on was taking care of her children and their safety.
"Hap, Lowen is here to see you," Jax informed him.
Happy nodded and walked out of the bay that he was working in. He was annoyed with all of this already and just wanted it to be done. He wasn't looking forward to returning home to deal with whatever had gone on at the house that day. He knew they would have to file something to keep Lyssa away from the house.
"What can I do for you, Hap?" Abby Lowen asked.
"The chick who abandoned my daughter in the hospital has decided to come around and believes she can take Maia from Allison and I," he said calmly.
"Well she can't without going to court and proving you unfit."
"So my record could hurt me?"
"Possibly but having Allison and four other kids helps a lot."
He nodded.
"Also her abandonment of the baby in the hospital shows a lot about her character. Judges will take that into account."
"So how worried do I need to be? She has shown up here as well as my home and tried to snatch the baby with no regard for her safety."
"What do you mean?"
"Allison informed me that she tried to yank Maia from the swing without making sure she was unbuckled and nearly toppled the entire swing on her."
"We can use all of that. You have cameras in your home?"
"Yes. As part of our security system."
Lowen nodded. She was going to need everything that he had to make sure that he could keep his daughter. She had to be cautious because of his criminal record. He wasn't going to tolerate losing his daughter and she knew it.
"It's going to be all right, Happy. I am going to make sure of it," she said.
He nodded. He called his wife during lunch to see how things were going at home. He could hear screaming in the background when she answered the phone.
"What is going on?" he asked.
"Crazy bitch is trying to get thru Rat into the house," she said.
"I'm on my way."
She hung up. He headed for his bike, Jax not far behind him. They raced for the house. She was standing in his driveway screaming at Rat about her baby. Happy pulled into the drive causing her to look at him.
"Leave my property Lyssa," he demanded, getting off his bike.
"I am not leaving until you give me Caily," she snapped.
"Allison called the police," Brooke told him as she joined them outside.
"There is no one here named Caily anyway," he said.
"My daughter's name is Caily Grace. I don't care what you think you named her." Lyssa screamed at him.
Happy rolled his eyes. Jax had gone up to check on Allison. She was standing in the doorway with the baby in her arms. Gemma was there with Mason in her arms. He sighed.
"Been going on for like an hour. I am so done with this broad," Allison sighed.
Jax nodded. The officer arrived. Allison walked out with the baby in her arms to greet him. He looked around trying to assess the situation.
"I want my daughter, Happy," Lyssa screamed.
"Officer, this woman has shown up at my house twice now disrupting my life with my children," Allison spoke calmly as she placed the baby in Happy's arms.
"That is my child."
The second officer arrived and they separated Lyssa from everyone else to talk. Allison, Happy, Brooke, and Rat walked to the porch with the first officer.
"So what's going on here?" the officer asked.
"She is the biological mother to this child but she abandoned her in the hospital while I was waiting on a paternity test. As soon as it came in, I brought her home. I have all the paperwork filed in court giving me sole custody of her. She doesn't even have visitation. She doesn't even know the baby's name. She showed up at my job yesterday screaming about seeing and taking the baby. I told her no and she could take me to court. She stalked a few of us until she found out where I lived and then pushed her way into my home. My wife can tell you the rest as I wasn't here." Happy said looking down at Maia.
"All right so what happened with her yesterday," the officer asked Allison.
"Yesterday she comes walking up seconds after my older boys were dropped off from school. She shoves her way in behind them and starts yelling about the baby. She spots her in the swing and tries to grab her. She almost knocked the entire swing over on the baby because she didn't even attempt to unbuckle her. We have pictures of the bruises it left. I have other people here because she is supposed to see the doctor about them today. I called the doctor as soon as I got her out of my house to see if she should go to the ER. Then today she shows up screaming and acting a fool about her daughter this and her daughter that. She refused to leave so we called you out. My husband is here because he called and could hear the screaming," Allison said.
"Can you produce your court papers showing that you have sole custody?"
Allison nodded. She walked in the house and grabbed the paperwork for him. The other officer had made his way to the porch as she stepped back out.
"Who is Maia?" the officer asked.
"The baby," Happy said.
"She keeps talking about a Caily."
"She hadn't filed out that part of the birth certificate before jetting from the hospital."
"So what is the baby's name?"
"Maia Jolene Lowman."
"She is referring to her as Caily Grace Henderson."
"That's not her name."
The officers nodded. Lyssa was given a writ of trespass and informed that she would go to jail for showing back up at the Lowman house. Happy followed his wife into the house with Maia in his arms. Allison was just shaking her head.
