Happy had been only gone for 24 hours when Lyssa showed up at their house with an officer demanding to see the baby. Allison stared at the officer for a moment.

"She has no claim on this baby," she said.

A family services worker was behind him and they were insistent on taking the baby due to allegations of abuse. It shocked Allison. The prospect was already on the phone with Happy. The woman from family services allowed Allison to prepare some of Maia's things before they took her. Allison was in tears. The prospect had also contacted Jax who showed up rather quickly.

"What is going on?" he asked.

"It's not your business sir," the officer replied.

"This is my family, of course it's my business that my sister is in tears."

The officer eyeballed Jax to see if he would back down. He showed no signs of it. Allison was cuddling Maia in her arms. Emersyn was crying because her mother was upset.

"Where is the proof to remove this baby?" Jax demanded.

"Sir, we don't answer to you," the woman replied.

"Al, have you even seen this woman's badge?"

Allison stopped for a moment. The realization that this woman had not shown her a badge crossed her face. It had been such a whirlwind that it hadn't crossed her mind. She stopped in her tracks. The woman looked slightly panicked. The officer with her looked nervous as well. Jax shook his head.

"Leave this house," he demanded.

The three of them scrambled to get off the property. She sat down on the couch and let the tears fall. Jax moved Maia from her arms and lay her in the swing.

"Jax, I'm so stupid," she said.

"Nah, darling. They knew you would have your hands full with Happy being gone. It's all right. She is safe and so are you." he hugged her.

"Happy would never forgive me if I had actually let them take her,"

"It's all right Allison. She is safe at home. Happy isn't going to be angry with you. I promise."

Allison stared at the baby. She barely registered that her phone was ringing until Jax handed it to her. She answered it.

"Baby, are you ok?" Happy asked.

"I almost let them take her Hap," she sniffed.

"It's all right Al. She is safe. Jax is going to get Lowen to file claims on them but listen to me. I need you to call the actual police and make a report."

"Hap."

"Allison, do what I asked please. It will help in court."

"Ok."

Gemma had to pick the boys up from school because Allison was dealing with officers still. Jax had to stick around to give a description of the two trying to claim to be officials. He sat on the couch with Maddox in his lap.

Down in Santo Padre, Happy was pacing the floor. He wanted to be home to deal with this himself. He was pissed that he had gotten a call that morning to tell him that he had lost and then the prospect had called to tell him that there were people at the house making claims of abuse on Maia. He had been able to hear Emersyn freaking out in the background. He knew that Jax was going to take care of it. He was just pissed that he wasn't there to deal with it.

He called Allison that night after he was sure the kids were in bed.  She was still upset and he knew it.

"Hey babe," he said.

"Hap, I'm so sorry," she sniffed.

"Baby it's all right. She is still at home where she belongs. Lyssa didn't win. I don't blame you for anything. Relax."

"I should have known better."

"Allison Janae, you have five kids to deal with while I'm out of town. That's a lot to deal with. It's ok babe."

"Happy, what if the prospect hadn't called Jax. He caught that they weren't who they said they were. Happy, I was getting her ready to go when Jax got here."

He could hear her on the verge of a panic attack. He was going to have to stop it.

"Allison, enough. You're fine. Take a breath little girl," he said.

"I just feel like an idiot," she said softly.

"You aren't an idiot. You are just a bit overwhelmed."

She was silent on the other end of the phone. He sighed heavily.

"It's ok to be overwhelmed, Allison," he said.

"I miss you," she whispered.

"Baby, just two more days and I will be home."

"I know I just can't deal with her. I hate all of this."

"I know and it's my fault. I'm working on it Al. I really am."

She sighed heavily.

"I love you Happy," she said.

"I love you too baby." he replied.

"Stay safe ok?"

"Always babe."

She got off the phone when Maia began to fuss. Mason was usually right behind her. He lay in a dorm room at the Son's clubhouse closest to Santo Padre. He wasn't in the mood to deal with people. He just wanted to go home now. He wanted to get back to Allison and curb her fears of him being upset. He wanted to make things easier for her with the kids.

"Hap," someone yelled.

He got up and opened the door. He looked at the member standing before him.

"You ain't got a girl for the night?" he asked.

"Nah, I just want to go to bed. I got my wife and kids at home right now," Happy said.

"Run rule, man."

"Leave me alone."

Happy's growl made the younger man back up.

"All right killer," he said.

Happy slammed the door in his face and went to lay back down. He wasn't prepared for how the next day would go at all.
