Allison made dinner that night and he headed to the clubhouse for church after the kids were in bed. He still had no answer as to whether she had contacted the attorney. He walked into the clubhouse and saw Lyssa sitting at a table. He ignored her as he walked into the meeting room. He wasn't dealing with her until he had proof in his hand that this baby belonged to him. Jax looked at him as he walked in.

"How'd Tara take the suspension?" he asked.

"Better than I thought she would after Abel told her what happened," Jax replied.

"Al is pretty pissed at the school for not protecting Noah."

Jax nodded. He called the meeting to order. After it was over they all headed to the bar for a shot before going home. Happy was about to take his when someone grabbed his arm.

"Can we talk?" Lyssa asked.

"I already told you, we can talk when that kid is here and I have a DNA result in my hand. Until then leave me the fuck alone," he snapped.

He downed his shot and left the building. He headed back to Allison's place to check in on her and the kids.

"They do ok for you?" he asked as he stood in her doorway.

She nodded as she stared at their infant. She was feeding him. Happy leaned against the door frame.

"I meant to ask you earlier but what did you do to your hand?" she asked.

"Nothing, I'm fine," he said.

"Happy."

"I punched the side of Gemma's house last night."

"Why?"

"Al, I know how badly I fucked up but I don't want to lose you."

She shook her head.

"You are just scared." she said.

He shot her a dirty look. She rolled her eyes with a small smile on her lips.

"You realize that doesn't work on me and it never has. I have known you way too long for it to scare me," she said.

"That's just it Al, we have known each other forever and I don't know how to survive without my best friend," he told her.

Her eyes filled with tears. She was struggling with making the phone call because she didn't want to lose his friendship either. He had been in her life for so long that living without him was terrifying.

"Happy, listen to me, we have known each other way too long to not remain in each others lives. Plus we have four kids together. We have at least 18 years left to deal with each other whether we are together or not," she said.

"So you called the attorney?" he questioned.

She shook her head. He was surprised by it. He stepped into the room and sat on the end of the bed. He was just watching her. She was sitting up but stretched out on the bed. He grabbed one foot and began to rub it. She just stared at him.

"Your hand looks sore," she said.

He shook his head. It didn't matter that his hand hurt. He wanted to make her feel good in the only way that he could at the moment. It wasn't like they could have sex with her healing from the emergency C-section.

"Hap," she said.

"Shh, I get it Allison. Just know no matter what you decide, you will never lose me," he replied.

"You just hurt me so much."

"I'm an asshole. I don't know what to do with it all. I fucked up and I don't blame you if you hate me."

She nodded. He sighed.

"I ain't gonna lie and say there isn't a possibility that this baby isn't mine but I hope it isn't. I don't want to be tied to this broad forever." he said.

"I tried to warn you every time you got caught for cheating that it would come back to haunt you," she sighed.

"I know."

She moved Mason to be able to burp him. He smiled as his boy burped. He also got a nice look at his wife's breasts. She stared at him. She moved Mason to fix her shirt and move him to the other side. She got him to begin eating. He wasn't eating much at the moment but she was doing her best.

"So where do we go from here?" he asked.

"We are done, Happy. I love you but I can't let you continue to hurt me. If you don't want the divorce, that's fine for now. If I meet someone or you do then we can revisit it," she said.

"So the situation with the kids?"

"Once I'm healed, I want you to go back to your place and we can work out a schedule for the kids,"

He nodded. He wasn't going to fight with her when she wasn't mentioning a divorce anymore. He knew he wasn't going to find anyone else and he was going to be sure that she didn't meet anyone else.

She needed to heal in more ways than one and he got that. It was his fault and he could only blame himself.

"You still willing to take the kids to visit Ma?" he asked.

"Of course I am, Hap. I love your mother. She helped raise me too," she said.

He nodded. She was glad that they were settling into the new way that their life was going to go. She felt for the kids as their world wasn't going to stay the same and they weren't going to understand what was going on. He wanted to ensure that she was taken care of if he went to jail again. He knew that Jax would ensure she was taken care of regardless of the marriage but it made it easier for dealing with dumbasses who joined and had no idea who Allison was. She had his crow on her body and he worried about her deciding to cover it up.

She could see the wheels turning in his head.

"I'm not going to cover your crow. I knew what it meant when I agreed to it and I still love it. It isn't going anywhere," she said.

He nodded. He knew the next few months were going to remain stressful. He saw the pain in Allison's eyes every time he looked at her. It made his own heart ache.
