As the weeks went on and Allison recovered, Happy returned to his home next door. The kids were able to go back and forth as they pleased. It made things easier on Allison as she didn't have to fight with Ryder about going to see his father. Happy left on a run that had him gone for over a week. He had prospects check in on her and the kids. She was laying on the couch when a knock came on her door. She assumed it was one of the prospects as she went to answer it.

"If you just woke that baby, I am going to," she trailed off as she saw Lyssa at her door.

"Hi," Lyssa said quietly.

"What do you want? Isn't there another family you can go destroy?"

"I was actually looking for Happy. He hasn't answered any of my calls or texts in the last month."

"He has been busy. He isn't even in town right now."

"Oh."

The girl seemed lost and Allison almost felt bad for her. She stared at this pregnant female on her doorstep.

"What do you want him for?" Allison asked, genuinely curious.

"I just wanted to see if he was even going to attend the birth of his daughter. I know he was there for all of your kids," Lyssa said.

"Because there was never any question that my children are his. We are married."

"I thought you were getting a divorce."

"What goes on between Happy and I is none of your business."

Lyssa nodded.

"What's your game here?" Allison asked. "Did you think he was just going to tell me and my children that he was leaving?"

"He said," Lyssa started.

"That man says a lot of bullshit that is never going to happen. He would never walk away from me like that. It will come down to me and if I want him gone for good. You dumbass little girls fail to realize that these men know who has their back. They know who is ride or die. That is why you never get the crow."

"Well he is stuck with me now. I know this baby is his. He was the only man I slept with. So you may as well get used to me having a daughter with the man who claims to love you."

"You need to leave before I lose my cool."

Lyssa stared at Allison.

"If you hear from him, let him know I am looking for him," she said before walking away.

Allison was so annoyed by the whole encounter. Happy called later that afternoon to check in.

"What's wrong?" he asked.

"Your bitch was here today." I said.

"What are you talking about? I don't have a bitch other than you."

"The slut expecting your child."

"Stop that shit."

"What the fuck Happy? She thought she could come to me to find your ass and rub some shit in my face. She thought you were gonna leave me for her bullshit?

"I ain't ever said I was gonna leave you. Especially for her ass. I don't know where she got that from."

Allison sighed heavily.

"This shit is why I didn't want your ass living next fuckin door," she said.

"My bad," he said.

"Put your damn dog on a fuckin leash because the next time, pregnant or not, I will beat her ass."

"Wait a minute, you still talkin to Damon?"

"What difference does that make?"

"How you gonna tell me to check that hoe when you are talking to that dick?"

"Happy, chill the fuck out. It ain't like I'm fuckin him. We are friends."

Happy growled over the phone.

"You don't scare me," Allison said.

"Why him out of everyone?" he asked.

"Because he is a friend, Happy. That's it."

She handed the phone over to her oldest son. She wasn't in the mood to deal with Happy's tantrum. She moved to deal with her children. Mason was now fifteen weeks old. That made Lyssa's pregnancy 27 weeks along. Happy didn't speak on it at home. He knew that Allison didn't want to hear about it.

She watched her children as they spoke to their father. She picked up her almost four-month-old. He was fussing about being wet and hungry.

She changed his diaper and got him a bottle. He had never gone back to the breast which was upsetting to his mother but she was happy that her son was healthy and getting the nutrients he needed to grow.

"Mama," Noah said.

"What baby," Allison asked.

He handed her the phone.

"What?" she asked into it.

"We gotta head out. Should be home next week," Happy said.

"All right, stay safe."

"Always baby."

She got off the phone and attended to her children. That night she put the kids to bed and sat on her bed with Mason in her arms. Her phone went off again. She picked it up.

"Hello," she said.

"Hey," Happy replied.

"What's up?"

"I was thinking of you."

"Oh please, where are your little club whores?"

"Babe, I'm fuckin tryin here."

"By the way, that girl wants you to contact her about the birth of this baby."

"Why you gotta go there?"

"Look I was just passing along the message."

"Bye Al. I will talk to you later."

"Bye."

Allison hung up the phone. She didn't have the energy to deal with his drama. He needed to handle his business. She was annoyed with it all.

"Mason Daniel, mama loves you so much," she said.

He stared up at her while he was drinking his bottle. She kissed his forehead. She didn't regret any of her children but she was really regretting her choice in a husband. She was going to be going to see his mother that weekend. She wasn't telling him where she was going either. She didn't feel like she had to tell him anything anymore.

Allison: Hey
Damon: Hey gorgeous
Allison: How's it going?
Damon: It's going. How are things on the Lowman front?
Allison: complicated as always. His baby mama showed up at my door today.
Damon: hang on I'mma call you.

Allison sighed. She answered her phone quickly when it rang.

"Hello," she said.

"Hey so what did she want?" Damon asked.

"Was looking for Happy."

"How you handling all that?"

"As well as can be expected. I mean I can't do anything about it now."

"So are you staying married to him?"

"I don't know."

Allison had a lot to think of because she was feeling stressed with the whole thing.
