Happy had no intentions on letting Allison know about this conversation with Tony until he had the information of what was going on. He couldn't believe his own cousin could have the information that could get the cops off of his back. He looked at his cousin for a moment. Tony looked frazzled with everything.
"I will see if she will meet you," Tony said.
"You better, they've been riding my ass claiming I did this shit," Happy growled at him.
Tony nodded. He left the lot. Happy finished up his day and headed home to his family. He was learning a lot that he should have known better. He had stopped messing with any of the crow eaters at the clubhouse. He was focused on his family and doing things right. He wanted Allison to know that he was serious about being changed. He didn't want to risk losing his family ever again.
"Babe," he called, walking in the door.
"Hey," she replied.
"You guys have a good day?"
"Yeah it was pretty decent actually. You?"
He nodded. She smiled. He leaned down to kiss her.
"I gotta get a shower. Long day in the bay," he said.
She looked at him funny. He sighed.
"I promise, all I did was worked on cars today," he said.
She nodded. He held his hands up. They were still greasy. Allison could tell that he had been working hard that day. She watched him walk down the hall to their room. She went to start the shower for him. She didn't want him to get his greasy hands everywhere. He chuckled as she started the shower. She glanced at him.
"Make sure you clean out the tub when you're done," she told him.
He shook his head with a smirk on his face. She smiled. She went to finish folding the laundry and start on dinner. Ryder came into the kitchen.
"Mama, when can we go back to school?" he asked.
"I don't know baby," she replied.
He looked confused. She smiled at him. She knew that he was going to need more of an answer right now.
"Ryder, right now, mama isn't comfortable with you guys going to school. I don't want anyone being able to talk to you without daddy or I knowing. They don't need to be upsetting you guys at school." she said.
Ryder nodded. Noah had just come in the room. She looked over at him. She knew that they would have to get back to school eventually.
"You will get back to school soon, I promise," she said.
"Ok, I miss my friends," he replied.
"I know you do bud. I'm sorry."
He nodded. They ran off to play again. She finished up with what she was doing by the time that Happy came down the hall. He took a seat at the table. She handed him a beer.
"Thanks babe," he said.
"You're welcome," she replied.
"What's for dinner?"
"Tacos. Noah's request."
He nodded. She finished up with getting it all ready and called the kids to the table. She got the kids eating. Happy's phone went off while they were all eating. He got up to answer it.
"Yeah," he said.
"Hap, she says she will meet you," Tony replied.
"When?"
"Tomorrow at the diner."
"Noon?"
"Yeah."
Happy hung up and went back to finish his dinner with his family. Allison was eyeing him suspiciously. He smiled at her. She shook her head.
"We'll talk later," he said.
"Fine," she replied.
They finished their dinner and spent the evening with the kids. Allison gave Mason and Maia a bath prior to them going to bed.
"Em, bath time," she said.
"No mama," Emersyn whined.
"Emersyn Noelle Lowman, it's bath time."
The little girl whined and threw a fit on her way down the hall. Allison sighed heavily as she followed the child. Happy walked down the hall behind her.
"Emersyn, that's enough," he told his daughter.
"Daddy, no bath," she whined.
"You have to take a bath. You gotta be clean to go snuggle in your sheets,"
She giggled at him. Allison got her in the bath. Emersyn played with the toys in the tub after her mother washed her up. Allison let her play for a little while. Happy brought in the little girl's stuff for bed so Allison could get her out of the tub. The older boys were sent for a shower after Emersyn was out of the tub. Allison sat in a chair in the living room to read Emersyn a story before she was tucked into bed. Happy was in the garage while Allison dealt with bed time which was their normal routine. He was avoiding talking to her about the phone call. He didn't want to upset her prior to actually needing to.
"Happy," she said, opening the door to the garage.
"Yeah babe?" he asked.
"What was that at dinner?"
"Nothing babe, things are good. It was just Tony."
"What did he want?"
"I'm meeting him at the diner for lunch tomorrow. He just wants to catch up a bit."
She nodded. He moved over to the door and kissed her lips.
"I missed you today," he said.
"You did?" she asked.
"I sure did."
"I missed you too, we need to discuss the boys going to school again though. They want to go back I guess."
"Babe, you knew that they were going to want to go back to school."
"I know but Happy, I really don't want them going to talk to our boys without us knowing."
"I don't think after this that they are going to even remotely going to approach our boys again."
She nodded. He kissed her again.
