Happy was up and gone before Allison was up with the kids. She got the older two boys off to school. She was ready for the school year to end. She needed the break from taking them to and from school. She knew that Happy was on a mission to get Damon. He was pissed that Damon thought he had any claim on her.
"Mama," Emersyn said.
"What baby?" Allison asked.
"Can we go see daddy?"
"He probably isn't at the shop, babe."
"Can we go see?"
Allison decided to pacify her daughter. Happy wasn't at the shop or in the clubhouse. He had rode out to see if he could catch Damon at home.
"Sorry baby," Allison said.
Emersyn shrugged. Allison took the kids home to feed the two little ones.
"Mama," Emersyn said.
"What baby?" Allison asked.
"Play with me?"
"Let me finish with bubby and sissy first."
She nodded and climbed up into her chair at the table. Allison had been teaching her how to play Trouble. The little girl loved the popper on the game. Allison got the babies down for a morning nap and then sat down to play the game with her daughter.
Emersyn giggled as she sent Allison's piece back to home. Allison shook her head with a smile. The two of them heard the motorcycle.
"Daddy," Emersyn scrambled down from her chair.
She ran to the door. Happy came thru it looking for his wife. He scooped up his daughter up on his way inside. She giggled and hugged him.
"Mama," he called.
"Right here babe," Allison said.
"He wasn't home so I got a prospect watching. Do you know where he works?"
"No, we never talked about it."
"All right, I will put Juice on it then."
Allison nodded. Happy looked at his daughter. She grinned at him. He kissed her cheek.
"Daddy, I missed you," Emersyn said.
"I'm sorry baby girl," he replied.
"Mama took me to the shop but you wasn't there."
"I'm sorry baby. Daddy had business to handle."
Emersyn nodded. She rested her head on her dad's Kutte. Happy hugged her tightly.
"I gotta get back to work princess," he told her.
"Ok," Emersyn sighed.
Happy kissed her cheek again. He set her down and kissed his wife.
"Love you, I'll be home for dinner tonight," he said.
"All right," Allison replied.
Happy left the house again. Emersyn went back to the table. Allison looked at her daughter.
"What's wrong baby?" Allison asked.
"I want daddy," Emersyn pouted.
"I know you do princess, but daddy has to work."
The little girl nodded. She knew that her dad had to work but she still wanted him home. Allison made lunch for her before she went down for a nap. Allison spent naptime taking care of housework. She was ready when Mason woke up. Maia was asleep still. She fed Maia when she woke up. Gemma dropped the older boys off after school. It made Allison's life easier. She didn't have to wake Emersyn from her nap. The girl could rival Happy when she was grouchy.
Ryder sat at the table with a snack and his homework. He looked over as his sister walked into the kitchen rubbing her eyes.
"Mama," he called.
"What?" Allison walked out of the laundry room.
He pointed to his sister. Allison smiled.
"Hey baby girl," she said.
Emersyn whined at her.
"Do you want a snack?" Allison asked.
The little girl nodded. Allison got her a snack and let her sit at the table. She yawned as she climbed into her chair.
"You almost done with that work, Ryder?" Allison asked her oldest.
"Almost," he said.
Happy walked in the door. He looked at his wife. She didn't say anything to him. He nodded. She went to get started on dinner again.
"What's going on?" he asked.
"Not much," she replied.
"Juice is on the hunt. I'm staying back from this one too just because of the connection."
Allison nodded. She knew how much he hated that. He wanted Damon to know exactly who he had messed with and that it was the last time. He was frustrated. Allison looked at him.
"It will be all right," she said.
He nodded. He tried to settle into being at home with his family. It gave him an alibi because his bike was visible in the driveway. They put the kids to bed together that night. Allison sat on the couch in her husband's arms. He sighed heavily.
"What?" she asked.
"Just frustrated with myself. I should have known better," he said.
"Babe."
"No, Al, I know this shit is my fault and you should have left me. I don't deserve you guys. None of you."
Allison sighed. She knew if he wouldn't have cheated they may not be dealing with this but she was certain regardless Damon would have attempted something. She just wasn't sure what it was. She looked up at him.
"Hap, at this point, what's done is done. We can't change it now," she said.
"I know. It just sucks that I did this. I knew better. I shouldn't have done it and I let my dick do the talking," he said.
"Either way, it's done. We just gotta pick up and move on. We have five kids to raise."
He nodded. He wanted it over with. It was a long time coming and he was tired of it. He wanted to be able to get back to being able to enjoy his family.
"We will be fine," she said.
"All right," he replied.
"Just relax babe,"
He wished it was that easy. She lay on his chest on their couch. He grabbed his phone as it went off.
"We got him," Juice said.
"I'm on my way," Happy said.
"Nah man, he is already dead. We got to the house as the cops were leaving the house."
Happy was stunned. He didn't know what this was going to mean for them nor who would have taken Damon out.
"Looks like a suicide from what we overheard," Juice said.
Happy frowned. He looked down at his wife. She was watching him. He got off the phone with Juice.
