Family over everything

Chapter 37

The SAMDINO charter had Lyssa. It was finally over. Happy could put it all behind him and get on with raising his kids. He could go back to loving his wife and being a family man.

Or so he thought. Packer called Jax to let him know what he had found out from the girl.

"Hap, do you know some dude named Damon?" Jax asked.

"Yeah, Al and I went to school with a Damon. What's his last name?" Happy asked.

"Pearson."

"Yeah that's him."

"He has been in contact with Lyssa numerous times over the last year or so."

"The fuck?"

"Just telling you what they found. They actually found the two meeting up and grabbed Lyssa as she left."

"I knew that asshole was up to no good."

"You gonna tell Allison?"

Happy nodded. He wasn't going to hide anything from his wife anymore. It would only get him in trouble. He wasn't going to have that anymore. He stepped out of the clubhouse. He called home.

"Hey babe," Allison said.

"Hey," he replied.

"What is it?"

"They got Lyssa. Get this. She was meeting up with Damon."

"Pearson?"

"That's the one."

"What the hell?"

Happy had always hated the guy. He had always had eyes for Allison. She was just sweet enough that she always tried to see the good in people. Happy on the other hand trusted no one. He was convinced that they were all out to get his family. He would give everything up to take care of his family. Happy was going to be dealing with Damon as soon as he could.

"Hap," Allison sounded cautious.

"Relax babe, I know you didn't know anything. It's all right. I will end this shit," he said.

"Make him suffer."

"That's my girl."

He chuckled as he got off the phone with her. He already had Juice tracking Damon. He was headed to the SAMDINO clubhouse to deal with Lyssa and get answers. He wanted to know why. He wanted to know it all.

"Hey Hap," Packer said as he walked thru the door.

"Where is she?" he demanded.

"Hap, you getting involved isn't a good idea."

"I don't care. I want to know what the fuck I did to my family."

He stormed past Packer. The older man nodded to the prospect that allowed Happy into the room. Happy growled at the kid as he passed. The SAMDINO enforcer was in the room with Lyssa tied to a chair. They had brought in a woman to do the interrogating for them. The woman glanced over at him. He nodded to her as he had been around her before.

"Giselle," he said.

"Happy," she replied.

"Get anything yet?"

"Nope, she just keeps crying at this point."

He nodded. He knelt in front of the girl. Lyssa was wide-eyed with fear.

"Damon Pearson," he said.

Her eyes grew even wider if that was even possible. He knew he had her.

"Spill it," he said.

"Damon said if I could seduce you and get pregnant that she would leave you and he could swoop in to take your place," she whimpered.

"So you poked a hole in a condom?"

She nodded slightly. He shook his head.

"Keep talking," he said.

"That's pretty much it," she said softly.

"Abandoning Maia? Kidnapping her and shooting my wife?"

"Damon made me do it. I didn't want to. He got my mom to help him too."

Happy nodded. He continued to pull information out of Lyssa before leaving the room. She screamed after him as he left her in Giselle's hands. He knew it would be a done deal by the time he made it back to Charming.

He pulled up to the clubhouse a few hours later. Packer called to let him know it was handled. Happy thanked him and walked inside the clubhouse.

"Damon met Lyssa in a bar. He basically set everything up down to Allison catching you cheating." Juice told him.

Happy nodded. He had gotten that much from Lyssa. He wanted this fool dealt with. His wife was feeling like she had messed up again. She had never allowed Damon around any of the kids. He knew that but he was concerned that other things may have happened. She had confided in Damon while they were going thru everything.

He headed home to his wife that night and found her in the kitchen. She looked up at him. He could see the stress written on her face. He shook his head.

"We aren't gonna do that again, Al." he said.

"What?" she asked.

"You are blaming yourself again. Stop it."

"Hap."

"No, babe. This shit has been going on since I beat his ass in high school. He wants you and he can't have you."

She stared at him. He pulled her into his arms.

"You are mine. You always have been and you always will be. I am not letting you go," he said.

She nodded and pressed a kiss to his lips. He smiled.

"I will take care of this," he said.

She nodded. He nodded as well. She stared at him. He kissed her again before letting her go. He was going to be a man of his word and stick to it all. He wasn't going to let anyone hurt her again. She deserved more than that and he realized that he was the one to protect her. He sighed.

"Happy, I'm sorry," she said.

"For what?" he asked.

"Not listening to you about Damon."

"It's fine Al. We will deal with him and it will be over with. He ain't getting you or my kids. I promise."

She nodded. He kissed her one more time before he walked out of the kitchen. She went back to working on dinner while he was watching cartoons with their children.
