Happy woke up alone. He reached for Allison again but could hear her over the monitor with the two youngest kids. He lay there listening to her for a bit before deciding to get out of bed. He was going to have to make another run to Santo Padre. He didn't like leaving the family especially now that the drama with Lyssa was going on. He wanted to make sure that his family was protected.

"Hap, are you awake?" Allison asked entering their room.

"Yeah babe, I'm up," he said.

"Kiddos are ready to go to school if you're ready to take them,"

He nodded and rolled out of bed. He pulled on jeans and a t-shirt before heading down the hall with his socks in his hand. Ryder and Noah were by the front door waiting on him. He put his socks and shoes on. He grabbed his Kutte before heading out of the house to the truck. The two boys were behind him. He dropped them off at school and went home to have breakfast with his wife and the other kids. She had Mason in the high chair, Emersyn was in her booster seat, and Maia was in a bouncer on the floor. She looked over at him when he walked in the door.

"Hey beautiful," he said.

"Hey," Allison replied, "Want some breakfast?"

He nodded. She got up and made him a plate. He sat down on the chair at the kitchen table. She put the plate in front of him. Emersyn looked up at him.

"Daddy, I go to work with you?" the little blonde asked.

"Not today baby," he said.

"Why?"

"Daddy has to go out of town for his job today."

Allison gave him a funny look. This was the first time that she was hearing about this. She had no idea that he was having to leave town for the club. He sighed heavily.

"I meant to tell you last night," he said.

"How long are you going to be gone?" she asked.

"Couple days. It's a Santo Padre run."

She nodded, without asking any more questions. They ate in a comfortable silence. She was also feeding Mason while she was eating her breakfast. Happy went to pack a bag after they were done eating. He came back into the kitchen to help with the dishes while she cleaned up the kids and made bottles for both Maia and Mason. Their son went down for his morning nap. She sat on the couch with Maia in her arms. Happy walked out of the kitchen and looked at her.

"People are going to be around to make sure that she doesn't come back," he said, while watching his daughter.

Emersyn had begun picking up on certain things that were going on around the house. He didn't want her to repeat anything. He knew they needed to start working on things to make sure that she knew that some things were not to be talked about. He tried to keep his kids out of the things that happened with the club and keep all club business from the house. He didn't have a choice right now with Lyssa bringing all the drama their way.

"Daddy," Emersyn said.

"What princess?" he asked, pulling her into his lap.

"You bring me a present?"

"We'll see baby girl. You have to be extra good for mama though."

She nodded. He kissed the top of her head. She smiled and hugged him around the neck. He sent her off to play. Allison lay Maia in his arms while she went to check on a load of laundry.

"Babe," he said.

"What?" she asked.

"Are you mad at me?"

"No, Hap. I'm not mad at you. I know it's club stuff."

He got up from the couch and walked into the laundry room. She glanced back at him. He sighed.

"Happy, I know how club business works. I know how runs work. I'm not in the best place to deal with the bullshit that happens on runs." she said, honestly.

"Babe, I'm not doing anything on this run. I promise." he sighed.

"Happy, I'm not 19 anymore. I'm not going to believe that shit. I'm not stupid."

He stared at her for a moment. He was going to have to get ready to go and he wasn't going to have time to pacify her fears. He had no plans on doing anything to jeopardize what he had fixed with Allison. He knew better than to screw up again. He didn't like the way that his life went when he didn't have Allison there with him and he wasn't going to do it again.

"Allison, I already know that I screwed up with you. I won't put that at risk again. I really won't do that to you again. I love you." he said.

"I love you too," she replied, not responding to anything else that he said.

"Allison Janae Lowman, I know that it's hard to believe me, but I will behave. I won't ask you to trust me because I know better. I lost that trust and I have to earn it back. I love you and I'll see you in three days."

He kissed her and put Maia in the swing before heading out for the run. He was going to have to work hard to gain back her trust but he wanted this more than anything he had ever wanted before. He arrived at the clubhouse to meet up with the van. His prospect was going with him on this run.

"You ready for this run?" Jax asked.

Happy nodded. He was glad that things had worked out for the best. He looked at Jax for a moment.

"Keep my family safe while I'm gone," he said.

"I got you," Jax replied. "We have a schedule of who will be around for her."

Happy nodded. He almost felt like he was having to set things up for him going to prison rather than going on a run for a few days. He was nervous about leaving for the first time in his life and couldn't explain why. He had a nagging feeling that things would go wrong while he was gone.
