Flashback

Allison entered Happy's house after school. He smiled when he saw her come thru the door. He had already dropped out but she wanted to graduate. He hated that she was at the school without him after the things that had happened to her with Jordan Thompson. She came by his house every day after school just to ease his mind.

"Hey handsome," she smiled.

"Hey babe," he pulled her into his arms.

She was shaking which concerned him instantly.

"What's wrong?" he asked.

"Nothing, I'm all right," she said.

"Allison."

"Damon was just acting weird today in class. Like he thought he had some control over my life. He just kept telling me how bad you are gonna be for me and how he can treat me better."

Happy's face clouded over. She shook her head.

"I'm not going to leave you, Hap," she said.

He nodded. She pressed a kiss to his lips. He was going to deal with Damon Pearson before the asshole got in his head that Allison was fair game.

"You gotta work today?" he asked.

"Yeah at six," she said.

He nodded. He was gonna spend time with her until he had to take her to work then he was going to deal with Damon. He pulled her against his chest and smiled. She snuggled into him and relaxed slowly.

"You ok?" she asked.

"He fucked with you and you wanna know if I'm ok?" he chuckled.

"I just want you to know I didn't want him. I didn't do anything with him."

"Babe, I know you. It's all right."

She snuggled up more into him again.

"I love you," he said.

"I love you too. I always have and always will." she replied.

He lifted her chin to press a kiss to her lips. She wrapped her arms around his neck.

"Come on before you gotta be to work. I want to make sure you get fed," he said.

"Oh yeah?" she smirked at him.

"No I mean actually fed."

He chuckled at her. She rolled her eyes. He pulled her up from the seat and took her to get something to eat.

He dropped her off at work later on and then went looking for Damon. He found him quickly.

"Damon," he said.

"What do you want Vic?" Damon asked.

"You talking shit to my girl?"

"Who is your girl?"

"Don't play stupid asshole."

"You know I can treat her better than you ever could."

"You don't know shit about her or anything she has ever been thru. I ain't gonna tell you again, stay the hell away from Allison or the next time I won't be so damn nice."

Damon rolled his eyes. Happy took that as an invitation to make his point and punched Damon square in the face. It started a fight between the two guys. Happy made sure that his point was known. Allison was his girl.

He picked Allison up that night from work. She looked at him with concern the second she got in the car.

"What happened to you?" she asked.

"Nothing, babe. I'm fine," he said.

"Happy."

"I went after Damon."

"Why?"

"Because no one has the right to scare my girl like that."

She shook her head and sighed.

"Let's go home so I can clean you up and see what the damage is," she said.

"I'm fine Allison," he replied.

She sighed. He drove to his house. His mother was sitting on the couch with Allison's mother. He ignored the looks from them and went to his room.

"What happened to him?" Allison's mother asked.

"A fight," Allison replied.

"You going to take care of him?"

Allison nodded. She followed Happy to his room. He was sitting on his bed.

"Where's the first aid kit?" she asked.

He just pointed to the spot. She grabbed it and cleaned up his face. He looked at her.

"I ain't gonna let him get away with that shit," he said.

"I know Hap but what if you get in trouble and end up in jail. Then who is gonna be there for me?" she asked.

"Babygirl, I always got you."

She nodded. He smiled and pulled her into his arms. She was done cleaning him up.

"I love you Allison," he said.

"I love you too," she replied.

He held her close. That was the last time he was going to allow Damon Pearson to get close to her.

(End)

Happy lay awake in his bed with his wife snuggled into his side. He was not going to let Damon get away with any of this. He didn't love Maia any less but the idea that this could have all been avoided just irritated him. He knew that no matter what it was all his fault. He shouldn't have dealt with Lyssa and he shouldn't have cheated on Allison.
