Chapter 43

-Mizuki POV-

When I walked downstairs after my shower, the front door was open.
"What the hell? Where's everyone?" I asked myself.
I saw Yuki and Shigure and I ran outside in the rain.

"Where's Tohru?" I asked, I had a bad feeling...
I was on edge...
'Where's my sister?'

"I don't know" said Yuki. "That idiot..."
"What? What did Kyo do?" I asked. "Where is my sister?!"
"He said something stupid" said Yuki. "Last time I saw Miss Honda was here"

"I need to find her..." I whispered and was about to run away.
But Yuki grabbed my wrist to stop me.
"Wait" he said. "If you're not careful, you'll get hurt"

"I'll be careful" I said. "I promise"
I ran to the forest where I saw Akito and Tohru.
But... I saw the ground crumble beneath Tohru's feet.

"Tohru!" I screamed.
"Someone help!" screamed Akito.
"Please, get help" I begged Akito while I climbed down the rocks.

I slipped a bit and cut my arm pretty deep, but I managed to get down in one piece.
"Tohru?" I said and walked closer to her, she wasn't moving. "Tohru?!"
Her head was bleeding, I shouldn't move her...

"Please, wake up!" I cried over her.
My head began to feel light... I looked at my arm, it was bleeding heavily...
"Yuki" I whispered before all I could see was darkness...

-Yuki POV-

Akito ran to the house, he was crying...
"Wow, I wasn't expecting to see you here" said Shigure.
"Please, help them" said Akito. "Hurry, they're hurt. She needs help. She fell, from up on the cliff. So far down... so far... what do I do? She's not moving... and she climbed down but slipped. She's hurt now too..."

"Akito" said Shigure. "Slowly now, calm as you can. Who fell? Who climbed down? Tell me"
"Tohru fell... and Mizuki... she climbed down..." said Akito and I froze.
"Okay, where were they?" asked Shigure.

"That way, straight back" said Akito and pointed in the direction.
"Shigure, I'm calling for help. Meet them when they get here" I said and ran to the direction Akito pointed.
'Miss Honda... Mizuki... please... be okay...'

I found them down on the cliff where Miss Honda's tent used to be.
My body froze when I saw Mizuki unmoving... in a puddle of blood.
"No..." I whispered and ran to her. Her arm was bleeding, but she was still breathing.

I ripped off a piece of my shirt and bound it tightly above the cut, so that the bleeding would stop.
"Please, please, wake up" I said and touched her face. "Don't leave me, please"

"Yuki..." I heard her whisper and I saw that her eyes were open. "Why are you crying?"
I kissed her forehead, I was so happy I got there in time.
"Tohru" she whispered. "Please, look after Tohru... her head... she hit her head"

"Okay" I said and helped Mizuki sit against a tree. "Try to stay awake"
"Okay" she whispered and I looked at Miss Honda.
Not long after, Kyo ran to us.

"Tohru" he said and went on his knees next to her.
"Don't move her" I said. "Her head, she probably hit it hard"
"Wait, this can't be happening" he said and I walked back to Mizuki. "It's wrong! It's all wrong! This isn't what I wanted! You can't go! Stay with me. Tohru!"

I looked at Mizuki, she began to have a bit more colour in her face.
"Tohru, is she... is she going to be okay?" she asked.
"I don't know" I answered honestly. "The paramedics are on their way. They'll be here soon"

"Okay" she whispered and I touched her cheek again.
"I'm glad you're okay" I whispered and she smiled.
"This little cut?" she chuckled. "Please, I've been through worse. I'm a survivor, remember?"
"That you are" I whispered.
