When I opened my eyes, a stark white ceiling greeted me. I blinked slowly, trying to piece together what had happened. As my vision cleared, I noticed F4 sitting in the corner of the room, their faces a mixture of relief and concern. Yi-Jung was holding my hand, his grip tight and protective, as though afraid I would slip away at any moment. I almost wanted to tease him, poke his shoulder to lighten the mood, but the soft sobbing from my right stopped me.

"Jan-Di?" I whispered, my voice shaky. The girl beside me was crying as if she had already lost me. When she heard my voice, she gasped, her eyes filling with relief.

"Are you alright? Should I call the doctor?!" she asked, her words rushing out in a panic. I couldn't help but chuckle, even though I felt a pang of pain from the IV in my arm. I must have been in more pain than I realized. I nodded to reassure her, signaling that I was fine, but she bowed her head, guilt washing over her.

"I'm sorry!" Jan-Di cried, her voice cracking. "I should've trusted you when you told me he was no good." Part of me wanted to scream, to say everything that was bottled up inside, but I held back. It wasn't the time. Things had unfolded the way they had, and some battles were better left behind. I pulled her into a tight hug, not caring about anything else. She was my friend, despite everything.

From the corner of my eye, I saw Jun-Pyo walking over, his usual cool demeanor faltering as he looked at me.

"Thank you for protecting me," I said quietly, grateful for his presence even if words seemed unnecessary. He gave a small nod, understanding the weight of the situation.

Yi-Jung, however, was staring at me with concern, his eyes not leaving mine. "I'm so glad you're awake," he said, his voice laced with worry. "Don't ever pull a stunt like that again." He warned, his tone shifting to one of exasperation, but before I could respond, he leaned in and placed a gentle kiss on my cheek. The room froze. Everyone's eyes were wide in shock.

"Should we tell them?" I asked, the awkward silence thickening as their stares bore down on us.

Yi-Jung cleared his throat before dropping the bomb. "Sora and I are dating."

The room erupted in disbelief. Woo-Bin's eyes widened in surprise, Ji-Hoo smiled knowingly, and both Jun-Pyo and Jan-Di gaped at us, stunned into silence.

"I know you guys are engaged, but I really like her," Yi-Jung continued, his gaze focused on Jun-Pyo. It was risky—everyone knew the engagement was a sham, but in public, it sounded like a ticking time bomb.

Jun-Pyo scratched the back of his head, as though he had forgotten to share this piece of news. "About that... my mom ended it. It'd be too embarrassing to keep up the pretense."

Everyone breathed a collective sigh of relief.

"Congratulations!" Jan-Di exclaimed, her voice genuine despite everything that had happened. It was clear that, deep down, she hoped Yi-Jung would leave his playboy ways behind.

As I started to feel a bit better, Jun-Pyo suggested a trip to a winter resort to help clear the air. We bundled up in boots and thick jackets, ready for a day of skiing. From afar, I saw Jun-Pyo teaching Jan-Di how to ski, guiding her carefully. I chuckled, dragging myself toward the slopes, but my nerves began to spike as the height hit me.

"I see you know how to ski, right?" Woo-Bin's voice cut through my thoughts as he approached. I was standing at the top, eyes glued to the steep incline. The sight below made my stomach twist in knots.

"It's too high," I pouted, the fear creeping in. Woo-Bin smiled, a playful glint in his eyes.

"If you want, we can go down together. I'll protect you." His offer was comforting, and I nodded, feeling the tension in my chest loosen. We set off together, the cold wind rushing past us as we descended the slopes. I held my breath, trying to maintain balance, but soon I lost my footing. I tumbled into the snow, laughing despite myself.

"Are you alright?!" Woo-Bin stopped immediately, rushing to help me up. I brushed off the snow, shivering from the cold, but my laughter was genuine.

"That was fun!!" I giggled, seeing Woo-Bin breathe a sigh of relief. He would've been furious if I'd gotten hurt, especially knowing how Yi-Jung would've reacted.

"This is the third time you've saved me. Thank you, Woo-Bin," I said, grateful as always for his kindness. He had a way of showing up when I needed him most.

As we made our way down the slope, I saw Yi-Jung talking and laughing with Ga-Eul. A sharp pang of jealousy hit me. They looked so comfortable together, a stark contrast to the way things felt with me. My heart sank as I tried to ignore the knot in my stomach.

"Do you want to head back to the cabin?" Woo-Bin asked, noticing the change in my mood. I must have looked upset.

I shook my head, forcing a smile. "I think I'll clear my head first."

I walked away, trying to find some peace in the midst of the chaos. The snow-covered trees loomed overhead, but all I could think about was how much my past still haunted me. It was hard to open up, even to Yi-Jung, who I knew cared about me. But I couldn't help the feeling that he blamed himself for my struggles.

Just as I thought I might find some peace, I heard a voice I recognized—Sunny. She and her friends had somehow found their way to the resort. She approached me with a look of pure hatred, her eyes cold as she glared at me.

"How dare you steal Yi-Jung from me?" she spat, grabbing my jacket and shaking me roughly. I was confused. Yi-Jung had confessed to me, not the other way around, but I knew better than to try and explain it to her. She wouldn't understand.

"If you get any closer to him, you'll regret it," she threatened, her voice dripping with venom before pushing me to the ground. Pain shot through my ankle as I hit the cold snow, a groan escaping my lips. The strength behind her push left me breathless, and I felt a wave of helplessness wash over me.

She and her friends walked off, leaving me alone on the ground. I tried to stand but collapsed, my phone dead and no one around to help. The snow was falling heavier now, and I felt the cold seep deep into my bones. With each failed attempt to rise, my hope dwindled.

Then, just as I was about to give up, I heard heavy footsteps crunching through the snow. My heart skipped a beat. I looked up, and there he was—Yi-Jung. He was rushing toward me, his face filled with concern.

"I thought you wouldn't come for me," I whispered, tears threatening to fall. I had almost given up, thinking I might not make it out of this storm. But there he was, risking everything to find me.

"My heart stopped when I couldn't find you," he admitted, his voice thick with emotion. He knelt down and gently lifted me onto his back, his warmth a welcome relief from the cold. I clung to him, my body shivering as he made his way through the blizzard.

We found an empty cabin, and he quickly pulled me inside, taking off his jacket. I could see the faint tremor in his hands, the cold biting at both of us. He wrapped his jacket around us, his presence offering the only warmth I needed.

"I'm sorry it took me so long to find you," he whispered, his eyes filled with regret. I gazed back at him, my heart aching as I realized how much he truly cared.

Without thinking, I leaned in and kissed him. The storm outside didn't matter anymore. What mattered was Yi-Jung—just us, together.
