"Sora! Jun-Pyo... h-he's—"

Jan-Di stood at my front door, her eyes brimming with tears, her voice choked with fear. The sheer panic in her expression made my stomach drop.

I didn't waste time. Grabbing my jacket, I followed her, my mind racing as we rushed to the hospital. Jan-Di's breath came in short gasps, her body trembling with each step she took.

The hospital halls were eerily quiet except for the occasional footsteps and distant murmurs of doctors. My heart pounded against my ribs as we approached Jun-Pyo's room. I slid the door open, and there he was—lying motionless on the bed, his face pale against the white sheets.

F3 stood around him, their faces unreadable. The sight sent a sharp pang through my chest. How did this happen?

Ji-Hoo, standing beside me, placed a reassuring hand on my shoulder. His touch was grounding, but it did nothing to slow the whirlwind of emotions surging inside me.

"Please wake up," Jan-Di whispered, her voice breaking as she clutched Jun-Pyo's limp hand. Tears streamed down her face, her body shaking as she pleaded. "There's so much I need to tell you... please."

The girl who always put on a brave face was crumbling before our eyes.

Yi-Jung exhaled, his voice solemn. "He was rushing to see you—to apologize. That's when the car hit him."

Jan-Di stiffened, guilt flashing across her tear-streaked face.

"No..." She shook her head violently, her grip on his hand tightening. "I should be the one apologizing. I lied to you. I-I'm so sorry, Jun-Pyo!"

For a moment, the room was still, her sobs the only sound filling the space.

Then, Jun-Pyo's eyes shot open.

"Really?"

Before anyone could react, he sat up with a wide, foolish grin.

Laughter erupted—Ji-Hoo chuckled softly, Woo-Bin smirked, and even Yi-Jung let out an amused scoff.

Except for Jan-Di.

Her expression was blank, her tears frozen mid-fall. The realization dawned on her in slow motion.

"You—" Her voice was dangerously low.

"Hey!"

Her fist collided with his chest. Again. And again.

Jun-Pyo laughed, barely dodging her furious hits.

I stood by the door, arms crossed. I wouldn't have been part of this if Jun-Pyo hadn't texted me about his ridiculous plan. It was idiotic. But, I had to admit—it worked.

They finally saw what was right in front of them all along.

Leaving them to talk, F3 and I exited the room. As I turned a corner, a firm hand suddenly wrapped around my wrist, stopping me in my tracks.

Yi-Jung.

We stood alone in the deserted hallway, his grip unwavering. His dark eyes locked onto mine, intense and filled with something unreadable.

"Who are you, Park Sora?" His voice was smooth, but there was an edge to it.

I blinked. "What?"

"I looked into you." His grip tightened ever so slightly. "There's barely anything. No deep records. Your parents—they're not wealthy. So how did you get into Shinhwa?"

My heart lurched.

My fingers curled into a fist, trying to steady my breathing. The moment he mentioned my past, my hands shook against my will.
