"Why are you asking me this all of the sudden?" Felix asked, pretending to act unfazed by Chan's questioning.

"Don't you think I have a right to know why you're mad at me all the time? I've suffered enough emotional abuse from you, Lix." The brunette said, leaning back in his chair, crossing his arms and raising a brow.

"M-maybe it bothers me because I don't like being ignored like any normal person? Who likes being ignored?" Felix responded, making a valid point.

"Yeah, you're right about that." The older man said, noticing the shocked look on Felix's face. Felix sat there, words refusing to fall from his pretty lips.

"You're normally always up my ass, but for some reason the second I stop giving you the attention you so desperately crave, you throw a hissy fit like a little brat, why is that?" The brunette asked, watching Felix crumble under the pressure.

"Why are you always up my ass anyway?" He added in, seeing the blush form on Felix's cheeks.

"W-what is this?! Why are you asking me all these stupid fucking questions? You never question me, so why are you doing it now?" The blonde said, throwing his barely touched food in the fridge, appetite completely gone.

Chan shrugged, finishing up his food and setting his dish in the sink. "Because there are many things I don't know about you, Lix. We've been best friends for such a long time and I feel like now is a better chance than ever to start learning more about each other. This was way overdue, so what do you say?" Chan proposed, sparing a small smile in the blonde's direction.

The color on Felix's face grew deeper. He noticeably got more nervous too. Chan noticed that he was pinching himself lightly in hopes of trying to calm his nerves. It was a bad habit Felix did when under stress.

"Is there something you wanna tell me?" Felix questioned.

"I think I should be asking you that question instead." Chan shot back, catching Felix off guard once more. He wanted the truth. He wanted to know what Felix was obviously hiding, and he especially wanted to know if it was his sexuality.

"I-I'm done with this conversation! I'll be in my room if you need me." The blonde said, scurrying into his room and slamming the door shut.

Chan rolled his eyes, bringing out his phone to call Minho. He figured he had bullied Felix enough for today. He heard a few rings before being greeted with Minho's sweet voice, "Any tea?" His boss asked immediately after answering, all of his attention seemingly on two things at once.

"I took your advice and questioned him." The older man responded, walking out of the apartment so Felix wouldn't overhear their conversation.

"That's good! What all did you ask him?" Minho questioned on the other line, giggling being heard in the background.

"I asked him why there was a problem with me ignoring him and he started getting really defensive about the whole thing. I also asked why he always gets clingier than usual when it happens."

"Woah wait! Slow down." Minho said, the giggling on the other line getting louder. "Jisung! Stop!" His boss giggled, turning all his attention onto the conversation with Chan.

"You never mentioned the clingy part." His boss said, seemingly taking interest in the new found information. "Yeah, he normally gets super clingy when I ignore him for longer than two hours." Chan shrugged, circling around the apartment building while he talked.

"Don't you think that's a bit odd?" Minho questioned. "I don't think so. He normally hates when I do it because I am literally the only friend he has." He said, kicking pinecones as he walked in the crisp autumn air. "His excuse was basically that any normal person would act like that when getting ignored." Chan sighed.

"Well I would say I agree as well, but the clingy thing could be much more deeper than that, Chan." Minho said, giggling picking up once more. "Baby, I love you, but this is important!" Minho laughed. "Sorry, Hannie over here is acting like an attention whore." His boss apologized.

"Hey! You love this attention whore!" Jisung shouted in response before greeting Chan. "Hey, Chan! How are you?" He called out, causing the older male to smile softly to himself. "I'm doing alright. I hope you are well!" He responded, taking in the beautiful fall leaves falling from the trees.

"I am doing amazing-"

"Welp that's enough talking for you!" Minho said, cutting his boyfriend off.

"Hey! I'm not done! I haven't talked to Chan in day-"

"I'm gonna go outside and finish this conversation because it's important baby! Love you!" Minho shouted on the other line, scurrying outside to finish his conversation. Chan could hear Jisung's faint curses in the background, causing him to giggle.

"Sorry, please continue." Minho said, laughing softly as well.

"You mentioned that the clinginess could be much more than Felix just being upset about me ignoring him. What did you mean by that?" Chan questioned, genuinely interested in what conclusion Minho was cooking up this time.

"Maybe he likes you?" His boss asked, completely catching Chan off guard.

"That's funny!" Chan said, laughter erupting from his chest. There was no way Felix liked him back. It would be dangerous to even come to such a conclusion, especially when he still hasn't even gotten the blonde to confess the truth about his sexuality.

"No, Chan! I'm being serious!" Minho said, causing the laughter to die down, silence filling the line.

"He gets clingy when you ignore him. Think about that for a second. He's been touchy recently with you as well, right?" Minho asked, making Chan think heavily for a moment. "I'm not trying to assume anything, but start analyzing how he acts around you more. I know it's all so sudden, especially since you haven't even gotten him to confess his sexuality, but take what I am saying into consideration." Chan swallowed hard, already envisioning how it would feel to have Felix actually like him back.

The thought made his heart race. He couldn't help but smile at the thought, yet doubt it at the same time. Everything Minho was saying had very valid points. Why would Felix get so bent out of shape when Chan didn't give him the attention the blonde so desperately craved? Why would he get so comfortable with skinship as well? He hated that Minho had to point out these very clear as day things often to him. Chan never considered any of these things, because Felix as always, was so good at hiding the truth.

Chan wanted to peel apart every layer Felix kept hidden under that solid coating that refused to tarnish. He had been best friends with the boy for longer than he can remember, and he knew almost nothing about him at all. He only knew what Felix wanted him to know, and hid everything he didn't. Chan wanted the truth, which he was going to get no matter what.
