It had been a whole week without any proper contact between the two men. Chan hadn't spared Felix the time of day, thinking that the boy probably needed space. This was defintiely the longest they have gone with not talking or contacting one another. They see each other at work, but they both refuse to spare words to one another.
Felix's reasons were petty, Chan's reasons were out of respect. He wanted to give his best friend time to recover. Regardless of how desperate he was for answers, he knew he needed to let Felix cool off before trying to get more out of him.
The older man was asleep on the couch, an episode of Teen Titans playing in the background. This was the first day he had off in a couple days, so he decided to use this time to catch up on sleep, given he hasn't been sleeping much these days.
The slamming of the front door woke him from his sleep, causing his heart to nearly jump out of his chest. He looked in the direction of the front door, eyes locking on an angry Felix. The blonde scowled at him before walking into his bedroom and slamming the door like a child. This was the first time Felix has been to their apartment in a while. Chan could only assume that he missed being home, something he would never admit to a single soul.
The brunette let out a tired sigh, checking his phone to see that he missed a call from Minho. He quickly called his boss back, not knowing whether the call was work related or not.
"Hey, Mr. Bang!" Minho jokingly giggled on the other line.
"Boss man Lino." Chan responded, giggling in return.
"Want to go out with me and Hannie today for some drinks?" His boss asked, giggling being heard from two men on the other line.
"I missed you!" Han shouted over the phone. "It's been so long since we've seen each other and we have a surprise for you!" Han excitedly said.
"A surprise, huh?" Chan asked, eyebrows raising in question.
He locked eyes with the small blonde who had left his room and was standing in this doorframe, staring at him intently with anger brewing in his eyes. Chan didn't even notice he had left his room.
The older man kept his eyes locked with Felix's chocolate brown orbs, continuing his conversation with his close friends.
"Hell yes! You're gonna be so happy!" Minho's boyfriend said with excitement, bringing a smile to Chan's face.
He hasn't felt happy in a while so this was definitely the highlight of the week. He watched Felix stand there, a vein popping out of his forehead from how angry he was.
Deep down the blonde hated seeing Chan so happy when he was miserable. He wanted to ruin whatever plans Chan and his homosexual friends were making, but he didn't want to talk to him. He couldn't face him yet.
He angrily scoffed, walking back into his room and slamming the door. He hated how he was flooded with jealousy. He could never tell anybody how he felt. Nobody can ever know.
Chan watched Felix throw a little tantrum, sighing when he heard the loud slam of the door.
"Is Felix back?" Minho asked, knowing all too well of Felix's habits, especially when it comes to slamming doors.
"Yup. He is." The older man sighed, walking into his bedroom and shutting the door.
"Well on the bright side at least you have your car back now." Minho said. "Come on, Channie! Start getting ready and wear something nice." Han shouted.
"We are crunched on time so hurry up! Meet us in about 45 minutes!" Minho quickly said before hanging up the phone.
The brunette couldn't say he wasn't excited. Nobody every really surprised him, not even Felix. He ran to the bathroom and brushed out his thick brown locks, styling his hair with his hands. He was told to dress nice so he could only assume that whatever going on was special.
He didn't know what exactly to expect given no special events like a birthday were occurring at the moment.
He put on a light chain necklace and dangly earrings. He got dressed in a black lacey top that exposed his back, and finished the look with black pants and shoes to match.
He checked his phone, smiling when he saw that Han had texted him the address to where they were going to be meeting up.
He grabbed his keys only to be met with the sound of Felix clearing his throat. "Where are you going?" The blonde asked through clenched teeth.
"I am going out with Minho and Han for some drinks. I shouldn't be back too late." Chan said, voice coming off a bit shaky. This was the first time they had spoken in days and he was a bit nervous at the sudden conversing they were doing.
Felix looked Chan up and down and scoffed. "Don't catch their disease again." He bitterly said, rolling his eyes and walking off.
"Why are you so angry?" Chan called out to the small figure that disappeared behind the wall. He sighed when he got no answer.
He couldn't say he expected any less from Felix. He was throwing a tantrum per usual. Chan did notice however that Felix was acting much worse than normal. He was definitely still upset about the kiss.
Chan made his way to his car, starting it and noticing immediately that his low fuel light was on. Of course Felix didn't fill his tank before giving the car back.
He made his way to the nearest gas station quickly and safely to fill up before making his way to the place where he was meeting his friends for drinks.
The building was super fancy, a place he had never been before. A waitress guided him to the table his friends were at and smiled almost immediately when he saw a familiar face he hadn't seen in so long.
"Hyunjin?!" Chan called out, pulling the tall male into a tight hug. This was definitely the best surprise he could've gotten.
