Chan stepped into the office, swallowing hard while fixing the collar of his white button down shirt. He slowly approached his cubicle, eyes landing on the familiar soft features of the blonde who was highlighting case files.

The blonde looked up quickly, accidentally locking eyes with the older man. He shifted uncomfortably in his seat as he quickly ripped his eyes away from the sight. A deep blush rested on his pretty freckled cheeks.

The air between the two men was thick and heavy. Chan felt uncomfortable and questioned whether or not they'd be able to handle the next seven hours left in their shift. He knew he would more than likely be able to, but doubted Felix's ability in remaining professional today.

Chan cleared his throat, sitting down in his office chair and immediately getting to work. He grabbed a massive case file that needed to be looked over for Seungmin before the end of tonight.

He opened the thick file, reading over the crime that the client committed, arson and attempted murder. Chan sighed, highlighting key points and documenting important information into his computer.

He couldn't help but glance in Felix's direction, heart skipping a beat when he saw that Felix was already staring back. His best friend looked exhausted. His hair was messy and the top button of his shirt was unbuttoned. He had really big bags under his glassy, red eyes. The older man could tell that Felix had cried all night.

The blonde looked away quickly, getting up from his chair and speed walking to the bathroom. Chan sighed, getting up from his seat and following closely behind Felix. He knew this was probably a bad idea, but maybe he could get closure.

Once he stepped into the men's bathroom, his eyes locked on the small frame of the blonde leaning over the sink, quiet sobs escaping his lips while he dried his eyes with a tissue.

Chan slowly walked further into the bathroom, voice getting caught in his throat. He grew extremely nervous, pausing the second Felix noticed his presence.

"Why the fuck are you here?" Felix bitterly asked, frantically wiping away the tears that fell from his red eyes.

Chan's heart leaped in his chest, in a way the hurt almost. He swallowed hard before finding the correct words to say. "Well I am here because you just up and left without saying anything to me. I wanted to make sure you were okay after we kiss-"

"We did not do such a thing! That was all in your imagination." The blonde yelled, clutching tightly onto the sink as more tears fell. "Lower you voice!" Chan whisper shouted, checking under each stall to make sure nobody else was in the bathroom.

"You cannot be in denial about all of this, Lix. Last night was not my imagination. I don't think it was yours either." Chan said, words coming off a bit more harsh than intended. "It's okay if you're bi, pan, gay even-"

"I'm none of those things! I-I am straight! I would never touch a man if my life depended on it! W-what happened last night was a mistake and it will never happen again, so do me a favor and leave me alone!" The blonde stormed off, leaving Chan in an uncomfortable silence.

Right before Chan could let out a sigh of frustration, Felix popped back into the doorway, wiping his tired eyes of tears before speaking. "And if I catch you looking at me even once when we get back to work, I am reporting you to Minho for sexual harassment!" He shouted, walking out of eyes view once more.

Chan nervously bit away at the dry skin on his lip, emotions clouding his thought process and ability to function. He let out a sigh he had been holding in for a while, walking to the sink to splash cold water on his face. He cursed to himself watching the makeup he had put on this morning get ruined. Chan hated wearing makeup because he would often forget he was wearing it, and would often smudge or ruin it unintentionally.

Chan washed the remainder of the makeup off of his face,  under eyebags making a grand appearance once more. He fixed his hair before leaving the bathroom to get back to work. He locked eyes on Felix's small frame, watching him tiredly type away on his computer.

Chan continued to look at Felix regardless of his threat. He knew that Minho wouldn't believe him in the slightest. Chan watched the blonde type away, shifting uncomfortably in his seat. He could feel Chan's eyes glued to him. He angrily sighed, flicking his eyes to meet Chan's. "What did I just tell you not even 5 minutes ago?" Felix snapped loudly, causing their coworkers to look in the direction.

Chan awkwardly smiled at them before looking at Felix once more. The blonde looked like he was about to explode. His face was extremely red and he looked like a volcano about to erupt any second. For the sake of remaining professional, Chan peeled his eyes away from his best friend, not sparing him a glance for the rest of their shift.

The older man didn't know how Felix managed to finish his shift today given the intensity of every hour being next to each other. Felix had an extremely difficult time dealing with stress and controlling his emotions. Chan was surprised Felix did so well. Him on the other hand, couldn't stop thinking about the kiss they had shared and the fact that Felix was still in denial about the whole thing.

He couldn't stand the thought of it all. He had so many questions he wanted answered, but he knew he wouldn't get them without being forceful. The older man knew he had pushed Felix way too much these past couple days, so he decided for now he would keep his distance before poking the bear again.

That night Felix had taken his car once more, driving to his mother's house to hide away from his best friend. Chan had gotten a ride home from Minho, who agreed to be his main source of transportation until Felix decided to finally give Chan his car back.

The brunette threw his stuff in the corner of the living room, kicking off his shoes and throwing his body onto the couch. He couldn't stop thinking of Felix. He couldn't stop thinking of all the possibilities that could happen in the future, both good and bad. Falling asleep was difficult but he managed, mentally prepared for the next few days ahead of him.
