Felix stood there frozen, eyes darting back and forth from Chan to TV in the living room.
The older man stood there quietly, waiting patiently for Felix to say something but he never did.
"Do you actually enjoy Changbin's advances? Is that why you've been avoiding giving him an answer?" Chan questioned, watching Felix swallow nervously.
"I don't have to answer you." The blonde spat, rolling his eyes and looking away quickly to avoid the intense glare from his best friend. "I don't enjoy anything from that disgusting freak. You of all people should know that." He said, trying his best to keep his voice from cracking under the pressure.
"I would assume that if you don't like something you'll put an end to it as fast as possible." Chan said, raising a brow in question. The blush on Felix's cheeks grew deeper in color and his shifted uncomfortably in his spot.
"W-why are you questioning me all of the sudden? You sir have been crossing too many boundaries these past couple days." Felix shot back, desperate to avoid the conversation at hand.
"I am crossing boundaries, Lix?" The older man questioned, rolling his eyes at the statement.
"Um.. Yes?! Is that even a question you idiot?" The blonde yelled, stomping his foot down like a child and pouting. His crimson red cheeks never faded in their vibrant color. Chan had to admit the boy looked absolutely adorable while flustered.
"I would believe so." Chan deadpanned, walking into the kitchen to grab a can of soda. He cracked the can open, the sweet fizzing sound bringing his nerves to temporary ease.
"Now will you answer my question, Lix?" Chan asked, annoyed heavily by the silence between them. The blonde shook his head violently, biting his lips in frustration. "No! I refuse to answer, and I refuse to allow you to push and pry in places your business doesn't belong!" Felix screamed, getting ready to storm into his room before Chan grabbed a hold of his small wrist.
"L-let go of me!" Felix whimpered, blushing at the skin-to-skin contact. The older man shook his head, "I don't think I will. I'd like an answer please." Chan politely requested, taking note of the way Felix reacted to the touch and tense eye contact. He looked like a deer caught in headlights. The blush on his face only grew deeper as he swallowed hard and looked away, growing incredibly weak under his best friend's gaze.
"I-I don't owe you an answer to anything!" Felix cried out loudly, yanking his wrist away.
"You avoiding the question is more than enough of an answer in itself." Chan called out to the boy already halfway down the hallway of their apartment. The blonde froze in his tracks, turning around to face Chan with an unreadable expression. The blonde looked flustered, mad, and offended. "Excuse me?" Felix asked, growing visibly more stressed each second.
"You not answering just proves that you do like his advances. You're just too afraid to admit it." Chan shrugged, a bored look on his face though deep down his nerves were running wild. He could hear his heartbeat in his ears. He never dared pushing Felix this much past his limit. He feared what would happen if he didn't stop here, but for some reason he couldn't stop himself.
"Are you calling me a homo?" Felix questioned, voice laced with poison. Chan swallowed hard though remained as calm as possible, shrugging and rolling his eyes in annoyance.
"I didn't say that, you did." The older man said, watching as the small blonde slowly approached him with nothing but anger decorating his pretty features.
"You basically implied it!" Felix shouted, shoving Chan hard against the wall.
"You." Felix said, poking Chan hard in his chest before continuing, "You better stop messing around with me." The blonde scowled, looking Chan up and down in disgust.
"I don't understand why you're getting so upset. Is there anything bothering you? Is there anything you'd like to tell me?" Chan asked, pushing Felix's limits further. The blonde looked so angry, like he was going to cry.
"What do you mean is there anything I want to tell you?!" Felix yelled, tears of anger brewing in his tear ducts. Chan swallowed hard, deciding wether or not to continue with his questioning.
He knew that if he did, the possibility of losing his life long best friend and love interest would be rather high, but he was so desperate to break Felix. He wanted to hear the truth about everything. From his hatred towards gays to who he really truly was.
Chan picked up a lot about Felix after Minho had brought the possible truth into light. Felix wasn't as straight as Chan had initially thought. He has made that painfully obvious. Now all he wanted was the truth.
"I-is there something you're hiding from me?" Chan asked, risking it all in hopes of getting an honest answer. Tears fell from Felix's eyes while his expression remained the same. He was still angry, teeth clenched and tiny fists balled up.
"L-like what?!" The blonde asked, choking on his sobs while he wiped his tears away.
"I don't think you're being honest to me or yourself, Lix." Chan said, trying to dodge being blunt and straightforward. He didn't want to say those certain words because he knew Felix would flip out.
"What does that mean? Fucking explain you moron!" Felix said, hitting Chan in the arm.
Chan swallowed hard, taking in a deep breath before explaining further in debt on what he meant. "You've been saying and doing questionable things as of recent." The older man said, taking note of how Felix quietly choked on his sobs, waiting for him to continue.
"You've been getting extremely touchy. You get upset when my attention is directed towards anything but you. You get flustered when we keep eye contact for too long or are too close, and you haven't blown Changbin off yet. I don't know about you, but all those signs point to you being ga-" Chan's words were cut short.
His breath caught in his throat. His heart rang loudly in his ears. There was a painful silence between them for only a second but it felt like a year. Chan closed his eyes, arms automatically wrapping onto the small frame in front of him.
The feeling of soft plush lips crashing onto his, desperately dancing around Chan's. The feeling was intoxicatingly addicting, the older man couldn't get enough.
Felix was kissing him. His mind was screaming at him and telling him it was just a dream, but it all felt too real. There was no way this was a dream.
The salty tears fell in between their lips, light salt tickling Chan's taste buds as they kissed. Felix held tightly onto the older man's shirt, desperately kissing him as if he would die.
The older man held tightly onto the blonde, taking control of the kiss, causing Felix to moan. Chan's heart fluttered at the sweet sound. Was he really kissing his best friend? The same man who claimed to be straight and hate gays for years? Yes, he most definitely was, and it felt amazing.
Before getting too caught in the moment, it got cut short. "W-what?!" Felix screamed, shoving the brunette back as hard as he could. "Why would you kiss me?!" The blonde screamed, punching his best friend hard in the chest.
"You kissed me." Chan deadpanned, sighing to himself loudly. He knew it was too good to be true.
"F-fuck you! I would never! I-I'm not gay!" Felix yelled loudly, grabbing Chan's keys off of the table and running of the apartment.
Chan ran after him quickly, but the blonde was already speeding off, leaving him alone with his thoughts. Chan felt his heart shatter a little bit. Why was Felix like this?
