As (Y/n) went back to school the next day, she was pleasantly surprised to find that she was sought out by her newly made friends. The ice skating club was not just an activity that a group of students bonded over in an academic light. In actuality, it was an excuse for them to chat the day away with their friend group, of which they pushed forward to expand further and further by the minute.

The younger girl learned this very early on her first day back at school. After the events that had transpired the previous day, she was more or less filled with a sense of renewed energy and enthusiasm. But that wasn't enough to keep her above water when the ice skating club began bombarding her with loud chatter early in the morning. Perhaps, in the beginning, she was able to keep up, but the more they went on, it became quite draining to the energy reserves she thought she had an excess of.

In between classes, they would meet up and chuckle at things that had happened during class, speaking about their professors or even other students. They were especially fond of talking about their fellow classmates, mentioning the class clowns more than anyone else. It wasn't that they were slandering them either. More of a friendly chat about those around them, they meant no disrespect to anyone.

Still, exhausted with their constant back and forth about this or that, the (h/c) haired girl found herself burying her head in her arms on the table she sat with them at. Perhaps being around such extroverted individuals required training. Like how a bodybuilder spends years building up their muscles to lift the biggest barbells. In that case, she would have needed to build up a resistance to whatever magic they were using to steal away her energy. She sighed loudly, prompting two passer-byes to chuckle.

"I'm surprised you're still awake," Hotaka grinned, placing his lunch tray down beside her, "The first time Kenko was dragged into their clutches, he passed out so hard he couldn't even hear the bell ringing."

"Well, pardon me if I don't have the stamina of a bull, Mr. I got in because I'm not human."

The brunette huffed at the way his embarrassing encounter had continued to serve as the warning for those seeking to talk with Kara or her friends. He tapped on the table as he sat beside Hotaka, attempting to avoid having to make direct conversation with the group of females. Every time one of them looked at him, shivers traveled up his spine, prompting him to tense into a rigid posture. Even after all that time with Kara, he was still unable to keep up with the number of words that came out of their mouths.

"Well, how has your day been, (Y/n)?" the purple-haired male chuckled, letting his senior off the hook, "You look like you're in high spirits."

"How could I not be? The club is going skating today!"

The male smiled wide at her evident enthusiasm though he was not certain how she would survive with the girls until then. Even if he was able to run a handful of miles without exhaustion and keep up with Kara and her friends, the same could not be said for most others. He'd seen so many classmates go dizzy from their shrieks and giddy words. Then again, it wasn't as though they were anything but kind and accommodating. He had no doubt she would fit in within no time as long as she had the will to do so.

"Well, granted, I don't have any experience in it, and I don't have great balance, but it's always fun to try something new," the younger girl chuckled, eating a spoonful of rice.

"Isn't it? The other day I tried this totally spicy curry! I heard it could even send you to the hospital or burn your tastebuds off! I was pretty scared, but I just had to muster up the guts and try it just once!" the male clamored, his eyes sparkling with intense determination and enthusiasm.

"And did you love it?!"

"No, not at all! It was so absolutely terrible even milk wouldn't help! I cried half the day and even got told off for it!"
