The time spent at the cafe was pleasant, to say the least. (Y/n) was able to catch up on her work and feel less stressed about the upcoming test. Of course, it was only one class she shared with the sophomore, but it was one less class to worry about. She felt very confident going into the test, despite the curriculum's faults. No doubt sitting back in the lecture hall would be a bit strange and offputting, the atmosphere much different than the open study she was given back at the manor.
At the same time, she found Hotaka far more attached to her than he had been previously. He had even tried to get her to eat most of the desserts they'd been given, but the drink she had was more than sugary enough to warrant more in the form of a doughy cake. As such, the male gratefully scarfed down the treat, only realizing that after he had completely devoured it, it may have come off as rude or uncivilized. The (h/c) haired girl was used to a noble's lifestyle, after all.
Chuckling nervously, the male placed down the fork before looking around for his napkin. He then figured it would be best to use it, remembering how all the fancy people Ryota had dinners with cleaned themselves. Of course, it flew right over his head, and instead of dabbing lightly, he merely smothered his face with it, but that was charming in and of itself. It certainly made the younger girl smile. Thinking it was because of his cunning idea to use the napkin, the male fiddled with his fingers, very pleased.
"I know we're done catching up on class, but would you like to go for a walk before I head back?"
"A walk?!" the male repeated, his eyes glistening with the thought of spending more time with the girl, "Sounds great!"
After paying the staff for their service, the two then exited, wholly satisfied with the drinks they'd had. They then began to wander aimlessly around on the sidewalk. While (Y/n) admired the architecture around and glanced in a few stores at the things inside of them, Hotaka couldn't take his eyes off of her form. Holding tightly onto the ends of his sweater, he bit down on the bottom of his lip, feeling frustrated for a reason he didn't understand. An unknown feeling welled inside his chest and he could describe it neither as pleasant nor as unwelcome. Instead, it was a bittersweet kind of thing that sat there and festered, making him feel more tightly wound by the second.
At first, the purple-haired male believed himself to be sick; that he had caught something from all of the sugar he had. However, he was far from the truth. As it got worse by the minute, he grabbed at his sweater where his heart would be and frowned, giving a pained look. That was when (Y/n) turned to look at him, furrowing her eyebrows in concern. Doing so coincidentally made him feel much better. Giving a sigh of relief at the uncomfortable feeling's disappearance, the male smiled at her, receiving one in return.
She then returned to gawk back at the scenery. Curious as to what she was most interested in, he followed her gaze exactly, but, for some reason, that same feeling came back in spades. Once again, he paused and grabbed at his chest, and once again, the younger girl turned her attention back to him with concern. The feeling disappeared again but the cycle continued until she spoke up about it.
"Should we maybe get a car ride back?" she questioned, met with the aggressive head shaking of the older male, "Well, then maybe we take a rest for a bit?"
"No, I like walking! It's nice!"
"Right...It's just...I don't really know how great I would feel if you collapsed from a heart attack trying to keep up with me."
"Heart...attack?" he repeated, suddenly having a realization of massive proportions, "Omigosh, it's a heart attack! W-What do I have to do? Don't lean your head back, right? No, wait, that's nose bleeds. Then, I have to drink a lot of water and - No, that's a fever! Oh no, oh no, oh no...I have to go to the hospital right away!"
