Shota had shoved the younger male into the car with a look of complete rage. Holding a vial close to himself, he instructed his driver to slam on the gas, uncaring of any trouble that may occur. The only thing he thought of was the need to get to the (h/c) haired girl as soon as possible. All the while, he would fiddle with the glass container, gazing at it with both fear and hesitation. He really hoped he wouldn't have to use it. The risks were immense and the rewards associated with it were questionable, at best.
"I-I really didn't know," Hotaka would keep mumbling, holding himself tightly.
The red-haired male ignored him, knowing there was no talking to him in that state. Instead, he began to think about all the things that could go wrong. (Y/n) never wanted to associate with her past. Every single reboot her mind went through instilled more insecurities in her. She was pushed further and further into a corner every time a memory popped up, reacting like a caged animal. On occasion, she would explode into a violent and uncontrollable surge of anger and fear, surpassing the strength of a normal human being.
That was why, every single time she exploded, her mind automatically erased everything. In order to preserve her sanity, it reset her into a blank canvas. It worked wonders for her after the episodes, but, in the end, it only made her more unstable, making it far easier for her to explode again. The result was that, eventually, she would be unable to function normally, and it was theorized by Beotia that it would result in climbing up the ladder of what she called types, specific to the younger girl's "kind".
The woman had done research into it with the help and funding of the redhead, the woman initially calling her a "Type C". It meant that, in the presence of overwhelming stress, the subject will look for a stronger force to protect them. That wasn't so surprising, considering Shota had figured it out when he researched her past. She was always hopping to someone she thought could protect her the most. In the beginning, it was physical power or strength, but she soon turned to material power or wealth. To her credit, she was very talented at drawing in people, the redhead being one of them.
However, after her most recent amnesiac episode, Beotia had reclassified her as a "Type B", claiming that, when in the presence of overwhelming stress, the subject will resort to violence. It was strangely accurate. (Y/n), by herself, was strong. She could take down an opponent ten times her weight class and could combat more than twenty people at a time. Besides her innate strength, however, she was very clever, able to strategize at the drop of a hat and readjust the style of martial arts to best incapacitate them. The only issue was that "overwhelming stress" had become somewhat circuitous.
Shota had realized why not long after discovering her identity as a notorious serial killer. All the words she wrote insinuated her victim was a threat. First, it was a threat to her life, then her safety, but, in the end, she associated people who would take things away from her as needing to be done away with. Her most recent kills were people who had shown interest in harming or stealing her current fascinations. Before them, however, she had offed a few people in the Yasojiro manor after suspecting them of trying to pry her away from Shota.
Honestly, the red-haired male was pleased by it. She had wanted to keep him in her arsenal so much that she would take a life. That being said, in the long run, it was not so pleasant. In fact, the more she suspected someone was a threat, the more petty the reasons became. That, in itself, led to her most recent episode and the latest discovery by Beotia of the promise of her becoming a "Type A". That was something Shota was determined to stop at all costs.
If he had known Ryota and Hotaka would have triggered the transformation, he never would have let her stay there. In fact, the only reason he let her stay with them was to recover from her stress. If she thought that the red-haired male was going to become a threat, he noted she needed to separate from him, despite his hatred of it. In the end, it was all for her own safety, but even that was going to be taken away because of her unnatural entrancement.
